Apparently the entire game itself will be in English as you copy over the English language pack.

I do not know the legality of using someone elses personal information in order to play, though.
 
jaz, do i make a char when it goes to beta this weekend? also when does the beta open??? what time??

Unfortunately, beta is over in China and Korea. Aion has gone retail there so it's P2P now :( .

Yes Falsey. When the servers open up @ 12pm PST| 2pm CST tomorrow, you will be able to log into Aion using the account you attached the Beta key too. At that point is when you pick your starting base class followed by character creation. I bet money, you'll spend time staring at the hot female Templar in the initial group shot. :drooling:

Those posts were created in April :wink:. There are a few people in my Legion who play the Chinese and Korean versions and they confirmed that it went retail the first week of June. You get 6 hours of free play, but like you said, time to buy hours in option #4.
 
The person that posted it posted it on June 16th, so I assumed it still worked, as the person that posted it (as well as others on BG) play on the Chinese servers.

If I'm not mistaken, the Aion client we have installed on our machines now is the same code we'll be using to access retail until they patch it again (1.3 will be out soon). They probably just switched the servers to from beta mode to retail mode when it was time. I know for sure, I wouldn't pay to play beta anything.
 
So how many of you noobs have tomorrow off and will be on at noon?

Any word on how high we can level our chars this weekend?

I work from home so I'm good to go! You'll only be able to get to level 10 because they want you to focus on the quests and shit. The character you create tomorrow will be useable for the rest of the closed beta events until the Open beta starts, at which time it will be trashed.

When can we specialize? When is open beta? How many questions am I going to post here before I shut up and experience it all firsthand????

Not sure about Open beta D=. but there are some other Asmodian and Elyos betas coming up...that let you get to level 25? So I guess that's when you can specialise!

Great, I thought they'd be reset between each time. And I'm not sure I'll be on =/ Midsummer, which is a huge holiday in Sweden. I'll be out getting drunk!

anyway, I'm not sure what server I'll be put on... When I entered the serial code it said "Aion (EU)", but the client says (US), so Iunno...

Damn.. there's a chance you'll be on a different server then. The first beta key I got (straight from NCsoft) made my account Aion (EU) for the first beta and I couldn't join up with my brother at all (he got his beta key from mmorpg.com). We also both had clients that said (US) as well. :mad:

The advance job quest will pop once you hit level 10. I hope NCsoft will allow us to play the advance job up to capped exp for level 10 so we can fool around with the new skills you can acquire at level 10. The next closed beta after this one will allow players to experience the Asmodian side again but from levels 1-20 this time around instead of 1-10.

They haven't mentioned a timeframe for the open beta yet, but I assume it will be sometime after 8/17 (last closed beta date announced).
 
so tonight im making a char and gonna pwn all you noobs with my axe/sword/whatever!!!
