Yeah I hear ya man. I wish they didn't have a cap. I have a 10 Glad and 8 Priest right now and what we're doing is doing the higher level quests (13-15 range) in groups, fulfilling the prereqs like farming or completing tasks, but not talking to the final npc to finish the quests. That way when the cap is lifted in a couple weeks, we can finish all the quests and rake in the exp. Sure you waste the exp for killing some mobs, but at least it isn't as bad as wasting 48k exp (that Odium quest) finishing the quest when you're capped. Plus it gives us something to do with the excitement of death around every corner hehe.
 
Are there any pvp options besides dueling available at our level? An arena of some kind? Enemy territory where we fight asmos?

edit: nvm, 10-20 Asmodian is July 2nd to July 6th =( 2 weeks =/

Do you guys think that this could be a serious contendor to compete with FF and WoW? Or will it fizzle again just like Age of Conan and the other one did?

Will depend on the end game content and how balanced PvP ends up being later on. Too soon to speculate imo.

I will say this though-- for a closed beta, performance, combat system, story etc are all pretty damned solid for levels 1-10.

I will be moving to Aion full time come launch, I think, regardless of whether or not it competes with WoW or FF (both of which I wasn't particularly fond of gameplay wise).
 
Does everyone forget that this game has been out for months?
 
Maybe in Korea and China, and in those versions exclusively with English patches, but there hasn't been an actual official release yet for the NA or EU retail versions.
 
Still, this isn't a stability beta or a stress test just NC getting people amped while seeing if they translated it right.

Which they didn't:p

Cube guy says each upgrade opens up 10 new slots while it opens up 9. Flame Bolt mistranslated to Fire Arrow in another spell's description, Blaze mistranslated to Burst in its own description. Now, Flame Arrow and Burst might be the correct translations, but in that case Fire Bolt and Blaze is wrong and need to be fixed :p

btw, where can Erosion be found? >.O My Mage never got that from the vendor, but it says its available at level 5. I've bought all spells up to level 10 though =/ Even got the quested one.

That's the earth elemental DoT spell, right? I bought that in the first village, and I'm pretty sure it was available in the city, too. o:
 
i gotta say im very impressed with this game, it has me hooked! just trying to get as many friends in on this as possible at this point!

Yea. I'm still waiting to see some dungeon crawling or what the large scale pve/pvp will entail, but I'm feelin it so far-- enough so that I'm pulling friends and guildies from other games to put together a competitive team for launch if it continues to deliver.

Should be fun.

Yeah, it is. It haven't given me the option to buy it >.<
 
not earth elemental. Erosion is an earth-damage DoT spell. At level 10 you only have a fire elemental.

And god damn it is easy to solo as Spirit Master... Can take on at least 3 lvl 10 mobs at a time without too much trouble. Haven't tried with more since I didn't want to die, but you probably can :P

Most I've done with Chanter are two since my armour really wasn't that good lol, but yeah Spirit master looks so much more fun than SMN because well..they made it a DD job.

I'm enjoying Chanter quite a bit actually...I am definately maining that when it's officially released and stuff and maybe I'll have a Spirit master as my back up....the smn in me is totally coming out lol.

I saw someone named Tarutank...was it any of you guys lol?
 
What servers options did it give you NA guys?

For me it was Azariel and Azaphel or something like that.

Phew, beat the timer by a minute! Was able to get 10 Chanter on Asmo, 10 Elyos Glad, and finally 10 Elyos Chanter in Cliona Chain! Like you Hitaru, I've decided to main Chanter. I had so much fun with it and it'll just get better from what I heard in the Legion chat. Ah well, on the upside, 2 weeks shouldn't be too hard to bare. I'll be posting a ton of Screenies soon. :crazy:
