A lot of WoW players in my guild have stated that yes there are a lot of similarities, but where WoW fails, Aion succeeds and then some. :crazy:

Let's just hope that Aion raiding isn't the joke that WoW raiding has become with all the addon bs that requires little to no thought/skill.

I enjoy the fact that Aion doesn't even recognize a G15 keyboard at this point.

God, I hope so. The last thing I want is some butt hurt twelve year old switching to my race and chasing me around because I ganked him. Can you even communicate with people of the other race?

This is correct :biggrin:. I setup shop right in front of a downed Asmodian (dude was still hangin around after I KO'd him - guess he was waiting to be reraise or be raised) and he HP'd it after he got my little bazaar message that he had no chance and that I had a deal on hair removal products.
 
Hmm this game looks like a lot of fun, maybe I should pre order a copy for the next beta event. Can any Canadians tell me where they pre ordered from? So far it seems only EBgames has it.

Eh, I don't think my system is good enough to run it atm, but I'll definitely get it when it hits the shelves just to see.

What kind of system? Could be the best performance out of any MMO I've ever played.

My system is:

Asus p5e motherboard
Duo core 2.4 ghz processor
Geforce 8800GTS 512 mb (G92) video card
2 Gig Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066 mhz ram

I run the game totally maxed out with full shadows/water/bloom effects with absolutely no lag/hitching.

I'm honestly not big on computer hardware at all, but give me a little bit and I'll give you my specs. I know it's an old one though for sure haha. The only two games I have installed on it currently are Left 4 Dead and FFXI, and it runs both of those easily, but I'm pretty sure that's nothing to brag about.

Honestly if it runs FFXI easily I'm sure it can probably handle Aion fairly easily as well. Mine had more issues with FFXI than it has with Aion thus far.

Yup! I had to swap out my ATI Radeon HD4850 with Nvidia because FFXI would crash majority of the time. Aion ran silky smooth at 1920 X 1080 on the HD4850 when it was installed. Knock on wood, but like Ana said, Aion seems to be more hardware friendly than FFXI.
 
i just got the nvidia 250, 1gb of ram :-p
 
You should've just bought my HD4850 for 110 ;P

My current computer can run the game, albeit on all the lower settings. And I had little to no problems running FFXI. But if you can play L4D then, your probably have at least a slightly better rig than I do currently.

However, I've had my current pc for about 5 years now if not longer. So I've decided to completely ugrade everything, and build a completely new kick ass gaming computer that will run Aion smoothly on all the high settings as well as let me play any other games that will be coming out in their full glory. Plus it will be a whole lot easier to upgrade if and when I need to.

Sad part is I'm only spending slightly more than what my current pc cost me back when I bought it. *sigh*

I still have a ways to go on buying all my parts. So far I have purchased and recieved my new case, motherboard and power supply. I'm looking to hopefully have all my parts by the time Aion officially launches in late September. And then I will finally know the glory of having a really kick ass computer, considering my current pc was only slightly better than a mediocre gaming system when I bought it.
