i also talked to my local gamestop looks like the game comes out on the 22nd(of September) but they wont have it until the 23rd!!!

You won't need the actual game to use your early start, simply the code that flags your account as having purchased either the standard or collector's editions. Those of us in beta now have that guaranteed already since we had to input those codes to get beta access.

I found that newegg is currently selling collector's editions still too, but I haven't been able to confirm if they will send the CE code right away or not. Anyone able to verify that newegg's CE comes with all the good stuff?
 
So no need to insert the registration key in order for early access to work?
 
Yup what Sharpe and Ana said! In regards to CE items, yeah those won't show up in your inventory/account until you actually get the Retail codes and register them with your NCsoft master accounts.

Well you gotta wait a few more days, next beta starts on friday. :P I can't wait either, though part of me wants to just hold off and not play any more until the head start.

Be like me and just use the beta to work out your macros syntax. I'm still trying to figure things out in that department. Or you can go up a tier in coolness and try the Elyos side /gasp :crazy:

IP Block news!

Straight from Ayase's (NCwest Rep) mouth:

"I have an update on this, folks, and I'm sure some of you may already have noticed the changes and fixes we have made to our filters. We do no longer have any IP blocks at all between the NA and EU territories, meaning that you can create an NA account from Europe if you have a valid key, and vice versa. If you still experience problems applying your European key to an NA account (or v.v.), contact Customer Support to sort it out.

I just came here to post this too for Uzor especially. One of our guys confirmed privately through NCSoft support.

Good stuff though I hope it doesn't affect performance in any way.

Still somewhat confused, does this mean you can use an EU key to create an NA account?

I might come play with you guys then Ana :P During what times are you planning to hold events? If its outside of my time frame I might end up playing with the legion I'm in right now. From Evony is seemed you did events during my play time though.

Not sure on days/times for raiding yet, we'll probably poll the guild and figure that out later. We have a lot of old members coming over to Aion from other games/eras who are going to be casual, so we'll be figuring out who the hardcores are and plan raiding around those core guys.

My guess would be like a Monday-Thursday 7pm EST til whenever but that could end up being wrong. Not sure if that helps lol

There has previously been an IP block preventing European users from activating a North American account in their master account control panel, and vice versa. This is now removed - we do no longer have any IP blocks between EU and NA, and users are free to active accounts regardless of them living in either of these two territories. They will however need to purchase a game version that is for the region they want to play in. We do not sell version of the other regions via our official NCsoft store - it will default and show only the version appropriate for the region you are located in.

I have 2 NCsoft accounts (1 NA, 1 EU) so I'll give it a try on Friday.

It's nice to see a Korean game that's almost completely ripping off WoW's interface now :P but whatever. Are the controls decent? And the video options and such? I always hated that about other Korean games. Poor controls and/or not able to really work the video/sound setting as much

And technically World of Warcraft was out before Everquest 2 at least I think it did, I know they were awfully close to each other though :P but there's no doubt WoW has EQ influences considering the freaking leads of the dev team CAME from EQ lol. Stupid move by blizzard imo cause why would they hire asshats that completely screwed over EQ Devs by forcing server crashes cause they QQ'd about Paladins (lol, serious, go look it up. Furor and Tigole and Kolagan or whatever their names are on the WoW forums are the leaders and they all played EQ together and at least 2 of them were involved with the anti-Paladin QQ in EQ and caused server crashes as complaint). You just don't hire people like that imo. Ah well, could be wrong about their anti-Paladin-ness but WoW Paladins were lol for years until finally being buffed to usefulness (and agreeably OP come WoTLK but fine after 3.1 imo)... I mean I might QQ about a class in WoW (i.e. frost mages, DKs, and Resto Druids atm) but I won't freaking try and crash servers or shit -_- I just post a suggestion of how to balance them and argue how they are OP and leave it at that lol.

But that's WoW, so someone tell me how the controls and such are for this game :P
