Aion- discuss

I'm a Norton user and I have no problems now. Initially, it would kick me off but when I ran the game as an administrator all my issues went away.

Iunno, I've read reports of AV's automatically deleting Gameguard files, and Gameguard still treat antivirus programs as bad programs, and thus block them from your computer when AION is run, thus locking the computer up.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why NCSoft use Gameguard anyway. All it does is make gaming a painful experience for legitimate players, as players that want to use hacks etc. will find a way around it.

Heck, most AION hacks apparently have an automated feature that injects Gameguard with a .dll file to stop it from running altogether.

Locks only stop honest people from entering houses, if cops get guns the criminals will get rocket launchers, etc. etc.

I have Mcafee and Aion works fine for me...Also Reya, me and my bro are on Kaswhatever but as Elyos lol as to not wear ourselves out before launch with the Asmo side XD.

Awesome!!! Maybe I will see you two in game >: D

On a side note.... Our legion still has a few slots left! If you are interested in rolling Asmo with some quetzy peeps, please check out our site! Currently looking for a few sins, sorcs and rangers to round off our list :)

I'll be there as well :)

Not a very good comparison :P Locks still hinders the thief, and increases the chance that the occupants will, say, wake up. It also offers a fake sense of safety.

Gameguard provides neither <.<; It brings annoyance to honest players, and hackers use automated programs to circumvent it. It like a... reversed lock or something.

Very true. You guys know it only takes adding two files to the Game Guard folder to disable it. >_> Not gonna say where, but that's all it takes. OooOoOoo.. massive hacker protection there. -_-

So I lied-- with the announcement that servers are split based on east and west coast primetimes, we dropped the Vaizel server for launch and will probably end up on Kaisenal or whatever it's called.

Hmm.. I'm on the east coast but gonna be playing on a west coast server.. meh, that shouldn't really effect much.

Sweet! Now we can be mortal enemies ;)

Hmm were they changed? I could of sworn it said east... hmm in that case we might be moving to a different server. I'll have the details up by the end of the weekend for sure.

Ok they SERIOUSLY need to do something about PVP in this game. There is literally not way I can beat a SpiritMaster or a Sorc in this game as a Templar. There is absolutely no way. 20 second roots? Plymorphs that don't break upon damage? like 60% movement reducetion for 15 seconds? Honestly what the hell could I do against that?

From what I have read, Templar really doesn't start to shine until around 35+ where they can really start to hold their own.

The real challenge it seems like, is getting the job there.

Well on my server there is a legion that basically camps outside morheim fortress, most of them 30s and in big groups. i got a few of them alone here and there, and was totally dominated. I mean that SM really had me over a barrel, making the whole "SM" abbreviation so much more appropriate.

Templars are Monsters over 35. I witnessed a level 50 Temp in C-Aion destroy all his challengers (3 Sorc, 1 Ranger, 4 SM, 2 Chanter, 6 Glads of all shapes and sizes, and a few other Temps) in that area of the Sanctum Trade Broker. That guy was a beast.

I played the in this OB got 16 temp but I'm just gonna chill till the 20th; don't wanna burn out on the game before it even goes live. I think I actually saw a couple of you around, I was Nakoa on Siel.

It's pretty darn fun, I'm 21 now, should be more but got killed by Elyos a lot, and I am bummed that I'll have to wait a week between beta and the launch lol.

I hope to christ that templar took them one at a time. I wanna be badass but that is a little insane if he took it all at once lol

Alright I believe our final answer is going to be Zikel. Unless it magically becomes West coast again, that is where we will be.

Survey says...

We'll be seeing you on Zikel!
