Quote splicing agogo!
some people actually filter shouts, not everyone, but some. A lot of people also plain don't bother reading shouts because they don't care to. I am the type that just doesn't bother reading them, but I have been known to filter them on occasion.
The case of "so and so doesn't talk like that", 99% of the time ends up that that person did in fact say those things and behave that way. Either that or it was the "that was my little bro/roommate playing my character" argument. Either way, neither of these arguments fly with us QCDNers and we don't typically care to hear comments like "Akatora doesn't talk like that, so I doubt any of that is near true."
Thats my two cents.
Word, and we aren't supposed to let Audino know they we actually get along with each other in secret! Whats QCDN without causing grief and turmoil to our lovely administrators and moderators?
First off, learn to read! He was saying that he's only received about three tells asking him to do random shit from a stranger.
I think what he did was kinda funny, not gunna lie. He was fucking with him. Getting random tells asking for help is more annoying that blind invites, he had every right to be an ass imo.
You say that he can ignore the tells, or blacklist, etc. But um, so can honcho, good job.
She already responded, but I have to second that as far as I could tell she read it just fine... seams you might wanna check on your comprehension skills. But otherwise I agree they could both have Blisted each other, but they both are loving the attention here.
Rude and unpleasant. Rofl.
Kettle - teapot - black.
On topic
Aka is very helpful ingame but only if you have the curtosy of befreinding him first. He puts alot of time into helping his mates ingame. And is also a very good and knowledgable player.
Just like in real life you wouldn't walk up to a stranger and ask him to come help you unless it was some sort of emergancy.
ITS RUDE. So don't expect curtosy in return.
We've all been there when you have 5/6 members and need another. Christ iv'e waited hours sometimes. Other times i give up. But if i can't find enough by either
1. Shouting
2. Asking from my friends list (And this is only if i think they need said event themselves)
3. Asking linkshell
4. Search - Comment - battlefield/mission.
If that exhasts all your options either quit or carry on with 1-4. That's what they are there for. Don't be an ass and ask random people.
I ask random people for help RL and ingame. Why? because that's a part of this social mechanism called networking. I might not ask the guy in ratty bear-stained clothing walking down an alley, but I've asked strangers at gas stations to confirm directions for me.
When you go into a store and ask a clerk where to find something, its unlikely you were shouting, had friends to contact immediately available, I'm positive you weren't carrying a linkshell and if you sea search comments RL... hope there's a god who can help you. So all you had left is the clerk, who is likely a total stranger. Hell, i've even asked for help, and more often been asked for help walking through Wal-Marts by complete strangers who weren't employed there. Its hardly rude in the slightest, and calls for the same actions as noted multiple times. Help them in some way, tell them simply that you can't help them or ignore them. Though in a RL situation, you'd be the rude asshole for ignoring them. in FFXI I agree its an acceptable means of saying 'no', but don't expect it to hold if you zone =P
If I had a nickel etc. That is by far the most over-used, overly in-denial phrase used in any internet argument.
God damn.
I get on once, maybe twice in 6 months!
Also, howdy-do. That is all.
You come in twice in 6 months and this is the post and the response you want to give? <.< ok, you go have fun with that.
An abused response, perhaps. Any more or less true despite that or you feeling the need to point it out... no, not really. gogo PC+1

And the moment you all have likely not been waiting for, but are getting anyhow! all the the spliced comments for our silly little Massimo.

I've played this game for 3 years, and I've gotten around 3 of these tells overall, it's hardly a big issue for me. Doing something as stupid blocking tells, I don't really care to do.
People will have to expect anything, when they contact a complete stranger. Going off whining on a forum, because someone called them an idiot in an online game, will hardly solve anything.
I gotta admit though, I can be an asshole to people I find annoying. But nothing of what happened in the OP was even remotely serious. Hardly what I would call "NERD RAGE".
So right away you admit you're an asshole, and many have already noted that you were an asshole before most people who have found him annoying. On a personal note, I'd say you have Nerd Rage from all your posts, some of which will be relived shortly.
Rofl. You approached me, acting like one of those people who wants to know where you can buy a subjob. Then you went to QCDN, twisting what I said, so people would get on your side. I wasn't even remotely rude to you, until I found out what you were doing, which was at least 3-4 tells in.
I don't act like a turd to people unless I believe they 'deserve' it, and quite frankly, with the way you're acting here, I don't even regret it. Quit with the Wall O' Text's and trying to make yourself look like a victim.
And seriously, what the hell at the bandwagoning in this thread, that's one of the biggest reasons I don't read QCDN anymore (A friend told me about this so-called flame).
Get over it.
An accusation that lacks any facts to back it. Even if he did act a little sheepish, its all the more reason you could have just ignored or said 'no' to start. Afraid you put yourself into this position.
I'd suggest that you should have kept to that or left it at one post, to return to not posting and making yourself out to be a sort of sore loser for being tattled on.
As I'm about to show, you obviously can't take your own advise.
Asking random people is sometimes a necessity to get things done in this game; from doing rank 5 mission, assault, or even if your just need a bard or red mage for your merit party and no one is seeking. Its a part of the game. Get over yourself.
Not interested you say? Your entitled to that too. A simple <No thanks> is easier then having to explain anything. They continue to bother you? /blist is your friend. No need to rant, rage or blow blood vessels. Really.
My 2 cents.
Get over myself? All I did was have a little fun with him, I wasn't the one who made this public. Just because my opinion on the subject is different than yours, doesn't make it wrong.
Again, no shit it wasn't the mature or 'correct' thing to do, of course I knew that when I did it. Good job stating the obvious.
This is just going to be repeatings of the same mindless crap, with people trying to tell me how I should or should not act, based on these 30 seconds of bad behavior, so I doubt I'll bother checking it again.
I'm a nice guy usually, and I usually just ignore people who do these things or something similar, but sometimes I provoke them to see how they react. Shoot me.
You may think you're an angel who could hardly be wrong, and that opinion is your right to have. But the rest of us, for the most part, still see you as the asshole, especially since you admit you were wrong (note the third bold portion). You both could have backed off, so I'm hardly saying he's innocent, but neither has he tried to claim that he didn't press his case during the incident.
For someone who doesn't care, doesn't read QCDN, you've made the biggest fuss over this. So yes, get over yourself. The only person here who's really tarnishing you, is you.
You really are hilariously stupid, if you still think I was being serious.
Stop attentionwhoring, you don't look cool.
Point and case that many of us are making about you.
This forum really is/have become a fancy Allakhazam. Saddening.
Leave and don't come back. I promise, you won't be missed or remembered once this flame sinks to the abyss of QCDN.
