Alexander

Seems interesting. I think it would make more sense if I actually knew anything about it or had done any ToAU missions D:

Interesting read. Almost impossible to execute, but still a good read.

I think SE will allow SMNs to have Odin/Bahamut (prioritized by size) before adding any other avatar.

EDIT: Although cool, it would be a weird turn of events if PUPs would be able to create Alexanders at lvl 75. XD

And actually unnerf PUP? Naw, that's giving SE far too much credit although I was thinking the same thing when I read it.

What's funny is at one point everyone said: "Fenrir will never be an avatar you noob, he's part of the storyline". Then lo and behold, he's an avatar. Then everyone said: "Diabolos will never be an avatar you noob, he's part of the storyline". And lo and behold he's an avatar. Now someone shows evidence that Alexander and/or Odin might become avatars and people (not here fortunately) are pulling the same routine. You'd think that after two strikes, SE's curveballs wouldn't surprise anyone. I'm thinking a new pseudo-light avatar in opposition to diabolos is in the works for smn. Probably Phoenix, but Alexander wouldn't surprise me.

What's more funny is that we got a gimped to hell version of Fenrir, then a Gimped to hell version of Diabolos. If a new avatar is introduced, I'd expect no more than 2-3 useful BP's from them, and those BP's to not be nearly as powerful as anyone would anticipate them to be.

I won't be satisfied till we get Doomtrain. :(

Hell yeah Doomtrain. Or Eden. Eden would be sweet too.

BP from pheonix:
Pheonix Ashes ~ Re-raise 2 on everyone in party
Pheonix Breath ~ Holy x 1.5
Pheonix Tear ~ Erase

That'd be nice ^.~

BP from Alexander:
Judgement Day ~ Massive onslaught of holy damage
Divine Intervention ~ Curaga 3
Giant machine arm crushing your face ~ Equivilent to one big ass kicking

Hell yes. Hell yes.

Pheonix Breath ~ Holy x 1.5 or AoE Holy attack.

Holy Judgment~ Massive onslaught of holy damage
God's Hand 2 hour ~ Curaga 3, Protectra 4, Shellra 4, Blinkga, Stoneskinga, Phalanxga
Giant machine arm crushing your face ~ Equivilent to one big ass kicking

Some simple fixes for my opinions. (bolded)

I think Eden was non elemental. Not Light/Holy. Plus she (he?) was FREAKING HUGE. Bigger than CoP Bahamut. It would be really really hard to scale her (him?) down.

Not suppossed to be as powerful as the primes=P I thought Fenrir was a decent melee though

You only get a piece of them not the whole overpowered celestial beings

Its nice Diabolos made it into the game but I think that sort of hurt the story line.

Joo guys= 8bit Blackmages XD

jking

Good call on the holy judgement, that was the name of the attack in FF8. 6 and 7 was just Judgement.

Alexander = Undersea Ruins of Alzadaal

I mean, it's pretty obvious if you take in what the Galka says during the mission inside of it, and the environment around you while actually in there. It's all clockwork. Clockwork as in machine components. Giant ass machine labyrinth thats mysteriously the remains of the Alzadaal Empire, Alzadaal controlling a giant mechanized humanoid to lay waste to opposing nations? Alexander.

If Alexander is underwater, who was strong enough to lay the smackdown on him? Aht Urghan?!??!!!?

I'm thinking he went down fighting. =P

I'm not saying he did or didn't, just that if you take in to consideration the lay out of the area and the textures used, plus Alzadaal's history, it points to the Undersea Ruins being Alexander, or atleast, 5 parts of him.

Also, the towers of the ruins sticking out of the water are very reminiscent of the Alexander drawings, specifically, Final Fantasy VI's Alexander.
