An ultimatum...

I don't know if this has been said already or not, I do not wish to read the whole post. If it has been said already, just pass on down to the next post. I'd like to say a couple of things, no matter how miniscule they are. Mainly, I wanted to say that I agree with your outlook on the MPK. The problem I'm curious about is, if someone mpks you and you mpk them back, what would you do if another LS claims? One that has not done anything but stand and watch the two ls engage in MPK war.

The other thing I wanted to say is, although I'm not in HNM scene, if you need help with preventing MPKs you can just ask me and I'll come out to help. I do still owe you for all those stories you have shared with me.

As Zoolander said, Dresdan is away but members of our LS would be more than happy to thwart any MPK attempt as we have done so in the past.
 
Well Artem, that would depend a lot on who the LS was probably, and also if we ever get some endgame boards up where the different leaders can discuss this sort of thing. It is our LS policy that we will give drops to an LS that lost their claim because of an MPK if we happen to be the ones to finish it off, until we are given reason to believe they wouldn't do the same for us (ie. they have the same opertunity and don't follow through or they MPK us to get claim themselves).

I'm sure each LS has their own take on what their response is to both getting a claim after MPK, but also giving up a claim after MPK... obviously we would try to start a dialogue between that third party and ourselves as soon as it was clear what was going on.

the only reason I brought up ESP was because i would like to see a board made where leaders/officers are given access to talk with each other. The scope of that is much larger than MPK. So, whoever is most in charge of ESP atm, please send pup a PM if you think a board of that sort woudl be helpful, and include the names of the people you would like to be given access (ie. other leaders in the shell).

Anyhow, as much as I sincerely hate the shit that JP shells deal out, the fact that they project their faults onto us after we do what they do to us, etc,etc,etc....

I am all for matching them punch for punch, but at the same time Nasya, it should not be the responsibility of other linkshells to risk their accounts or being jailed just to have some uniform solution.

If your LS wants to go to that extreme, seriously more power to you (I told you from the start that the only way to deal with them is to come in there like a sledge hammer to a glassware store).

An endgame LS board would be as productive if the shells involved with said NMs/areas were willing to cooperate. I definitely think that splitting up time slots in places like sky, dynamis, popped NMs (ie HKTK) would lessen the burden on the NA endgame community.

I really don't see all the end game shells getting together in one big shell. There are some 5-8 end game shells right now and I'd bet most of them have at least 30 members prolly closer to 50+.

Can you imagine 8x50 people in one shell wanting their items?

Yes I think it would be nice if a shell was being mpk'd and your shell is standing by, give them a hand. But it shouldnt be a JP shell vs NA shell kinda deal. I would hope if one jp vs jp, na vs na, na vs jp that on lookers would help out in preventing mpk's.

Anyway thats just my thoughts, I really hope things work out for you land hnm camping ls's.

I wouldn't say go so far as one huge shell, but rather, if you get beat on claim by a rival shell, stick around to enforce fair play.
 
also, Valkyrs does not do land HNM. strictly sky shell only. but then again, we'll see what Villarel will decide.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that it is physically impossible to have more than 64 people online with a certain LS equipped at the same time, thus the dynamis restrictions. O_o

Thats why you make a shell for leaders to wear, and they relay to their alliances/officers, who then relay to the rest of the members.

I think you can have an unlimited amount in a shell.. cause I seem to remember over 64 people in DynamisPants at one point when there was an overflow :D
 
It's not unlimited, but it is more than 64. I remember back when ThiefGuild was still around we'd have people unable to equip shells because of too many people in.


But it's not linkshell restriction that caps dynamis runs participants. It's Dynamis itself.

I am entirely aware of that Ultraseven ^^ however, Valkyrs is very well established, and i definatly wouldn't want to leave you all out of a discussion board if we were to get one made. While many of the topics might not apply to you all that doesn't limit the ability to provide insight and many topics i do think would have to do with Sky.

Liefe, this is not a post asking other shells to respond in kind. The primary purpose of this post was to inform others of what we plan to do and why, so that they can be assured that they are not a target, and that there is a reason behind the madness. Secondary purpose was to post an idea that had popped up waaaaaaaaaay before this one, which was to have a board where the leaders of the different shells could meet and discuss different topics in a more closed setting.

I don't post here much... so i figured i would kill 2 birds with one stone when this came up. To me, the fact that we are getting ready to respond in kind to the JP alliance is totally seperate from the fact that i personally think having a board for discussion between shells would be a good idea.

As for the discussion by some of a "Mega" Shell, there are many reasons that at this point in time that would be impossible, and it is definatly not one of my goals... Between item distribution, the fact that individual shells have different goals and agendas, that we all have our own policies in regard to different situations, and our own relations with different shells... it really wouldn't be a smooth transition, and i doubt many want such a thing to happen. Also, for some accomplishment without compition means very little... What I hope for is that we can make some guidelines that will make the competition more friendly between NA shells, so that rather than putting our energies into bickering we can focus on more productive things.

From my understanding of Nasya's post, I have no problem helping kill mobs invloved in an MPK attempt. I don't think the goal is to make an alliance of the ls to all camp together. Just camp and if you don't claim and are standing around for ToD may as well help out if you see another respectable ls in trouble.

I don't know where the idea of making a large NA alliance to MPK the JP alliance came from, I certainly didn't see that in Nasya's post. I would not be willing to help out in such an action. I think Nasya was just pointing out the length's her ls has been pushed to and is trying to find a resonable solution that would not put her ls to that level or voilate the ToS.

Just for the record I don't think this is an NA vs. JP thing, I've seen the JP MPK eachother and the NA MPK eachother. I think if we all helped out the others being MPKed, insead of spamming voke on their mob, we'd find a lot more ls's friends. Isn't making friends what this game is about? (yes, corney I know but still the truth)

It's hard enough to get ToD, get enough people together, and get everyone to where they need to be every day then claim and kill without the added aggrivation of having MPK attempts once you successfully claim.

As for the ls that don't currently do land gods or HNM or sky or whatever end game things, you never know one day you might and when that time comes you may be gratefull that you helpped another ls out that could be the one to save your ass one day. Don't limit yourself to what you do now but what you hope to achieve.

Respectable? Isn't respect just an opinion? Some people find one ls respectable, while not another. It doesn't really reflect opinions of ls's as a whole. How do you decide which shell is respectable and which is not? Every shell has done atleast one shitty thing in their life time.

thank god, i've looked over my post again and again trying to find where that would have been suggested. This game was designed for competition to occur. What i would like to have happen is that the end game LSs come together and discuss how they would like that competition to occur... Afterwhich we could develope a list of guidelines so that at least from our side we are making endgame more of a sportsman event than a free for all.
