Realize, though, that it's a slippery slope. People are already posting subjects where ever thay wish. There's a linkshell requitment thread in general discussion, and trolls are starting to pop up more and more.

I'm sorry, I was working on it but I was frankly getting sick of sending out dozens of new PMs because people don't know how to read. If you hate them so much or anybody else, why doesn't everyone start sending PMs to offenders with links to the rules post. I agree with you, but frankly for every Sig/avatar I was PM'ing about 10 more popped up.

So for everyone who can't be bothered to check the guidelines of the board before they post here they are....Once again.

Please keep Avatar images to no larger than 100x100 pixels, and no larger than 10kb in file size.
Please keep Signature images to no larger than 550x200 pixels, and no larger than 50kb in file size.
 
PS: If you notice threads that you feel are in the wrong section and the mod of that particular board has yet to catch it, send a PM. We do our best but we can't be on here all the time.

Sabs, you guys have been doing a great job fighting an uphill battle, and I want you to know this thread isn't an attack on you guys. I know there is only so much you can do while Pup is gone wherever. But have you read this thread, no one really gives a shit. It's kinda a bummer, but I do wish you mods good luck, cause if the attitues of this thread are any indicator, the forum is screwed

Almost have the latter. Sorry, I have a GI systems exam tomorrow and am in some sort of stupid latenight mode where I probably make no sense to anyone but me.

You can disable them in IE by going to "Tools">>"Internet Options">>"Advanced". Then, under "Mutimedia" uncheck "Play animations in web pages"......

Viola!

I am running FireFox on Win2K on a 500 HMZ proc and 256 MB RAM. No isues here. :P I can't run anything else, but I can visit the 'Boards!
 
I really don't see what the big problem is, man.

The "lag" that avatar/sig animated gifs cause is mostly clientside.

If a few sigs crack out your computer, then I guess who can't really stream anything can you?

Like cubs sacasticly said, there are bigger things to bitch about, yet you complain out a couple of animated gifs?

Instead of trying to make an ass out of me and cubswoo, you could of sent us a PM.

And sorry for singling your out Krono and Cubs, cause your not the only ones.

That being said, Krono, would a PM have done anything? You've read my complaint, and yet your sig is unchanged. So I guess I could have PM'ed you, but I could also go outside and piss in the wind too.

You never know maybe I will get tired all of 3 gifs and find a really funny one.

And don't complain at me for not changing it, because neither did Cubs. Maybe we don't care?

I'll tell you what... When someone with Admin authority consults me on sig, I will take action. I don't want to sound like a dick or anything, but seriously, man, it's not that big of a deal.
