ive been obsessed with japanese pop culture since i was a child.
it all started with g-force (gatchaman) in the 70's. my brother and i would watch this b4 church every sunday morning and ive been hooked since.
over the years ive amassed around 600+ VHS tapes (very hard to lug from
house to house) 100+ DVD's and ive lost count of the downlaoded stuff
in the late 80's early 90's it was nearly impossible to find any anime anywhere here in milwaukee, so we ventured down to Chicago weekly to visit a video store in arlington hieghts called video japan. what a gold mine!
in the course of 2 years we managed to copy at least 1/2 their inventory!
my faves over the years vary. i really liked the tv stuff alot vs. OAV's
i have numerous tapes direct from japanese tv w/ commercials and everything.
i also think its hilarious how anime has become so mainstream while just a few years ago i was considered a total geek for knowing anything about it.
My all time faves:
1) Macross and anything to do with it

japanese sci-fi anime soap opera at its finest.
2)DBZ I knew the whole series in and out b4 it ever made it over here.
3)City Hunter: goofball japanese humor at its best.
4)Iron Leager: bizarre show about athletic robots and the children that befriended them.
as far as music goes, ive never left the 80's. i was and always will be a total metalhead. and i dont mean "todays" metal, thats not metal.
I mean legends like death angel, testament, anthrax etc.
although i can be seen at every dream theater show within 50 miles (they are true maestros)
well. thanx for reading this little insight into me, it passed the time on the boat to selbina
