I had a manaburn in the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah today, but our designated sync (Or DS as I call it) was literally pissing me off the whole party.

Kept asking when to pull, "Is it okay to pull?", "How long we staying for?"(x1000000 times asked), etc.

Not only that, he is AFK the whole party; but due to the scarce number of syncs that level I had at my disposal, I dealt with it to gain exp on my BLM.

After the party, I told him I had a really cool scroll for his Samurai that will "increase accuracy on your weapon".

I entered into trade mode with him, and while the screen was open, I typed "/ma "Retrace" <t>" on him.

He wanted me to d2 him, which I would have but he was being cocky and cursing at me so I logged and left his ass in South Sandy(S).

Does that make me a dick?
 
Yes and no lol.
Two wrongs don't make a right and just because he was pissing you off doesn't make you any better for basically fooling him and then retracing him.
On the other hand, the idiot was actually that gullible to think that SAM can use magic innate to them? He kinda deserves it to actually think that such a thing actually existed lol.

If he was afk the whole party, not contributing to anything then yeah, even I would get aggravated. I suppose he thought it was an extension of a SMN burn; designated syncee doesn't have to do anything there, all they have to do is just sit there and look pretty.
I would have just kicked him after a while if that was the case.

If he was being cocky and cursing at you, and asked for a d2? Pffft, I'd have left his ass in Zitah and just warped myself lol. I'm guessing you guys were partying at the OP anyway.
He could have just done it himself with the manual there >.>
 
Not at all! I've done this countless times to other annoying idiots only I've snuck in teleports. That's how much of a fucking ninja I am.
 
Retrace was too easy. Would have been more amusing if you'd been WHM and done a recall Meriphauted , then warped out. Granted could hop a chocobo to get back to a fort, but the time spent will be an annoyance in itself. ;)
 
My only regret is not taking Whm or Blm high enough so I could cast those higher level warp spells..
 
Well, I was going to retrace myself and d2 him (his nation is the same as mine so meh). Then he started saying stuff like "yeah, you better fucking d2 me bitch". So I was like "{No More MP!} and he was like "You better get some right now!"

Then I said to myself, fuck that, sit in your Southern San'doria (S).

Guess he wasn't too butt hurt, he zoned into Grauberg (S) about 20 minutes later to do some campaigning.
 
Whether it's a dick move or not, it's hilarious lol. lol@him believing in a magic scroll for SAM. I wouldn't of Retraced him, I'd just of left him there. But retracing is so much more funny.

Only bad thing about a recall would be theres a good chance he doesnt have the crystal for it.

I think that was the third time I got him. First two times I got him twice during the same day

No, he always says he's going to GM me and then never does, or they just don't do anything about it.
 
Well fucking done. I've done this numerous times to assholes. I even had a party once while I was on BLM, and the SAM wouldn't shut up. He kept whining about not getting haste and was /THF and we didn't have a tank, so he just wanted to see big numbers for his own amusement. So eventually I started getting /tells from the members about the doucheSAM. So I got sick of it and secretly called a rep for him, and when the replacement showed up, I D2'd that fucker back to his home nation and booted him. He never sent me a /t hatemail, and the new SAM was very quiet and nice. :)

True, but you don't joke with strangers like that. If I grabbed someone shouting for a teleport and when I started casting they were like "Yeah, teleport my ass, motherfucker" I'd disband and dbox back the gil. There's being a cock amongst friends, and there's being a cock to strangers, the latter of which is typically taken as hostile. There's little difference between a well-meaning douche and a douche to a stranger.
