Another RMT virus on the loose

Oh wow. That came from way out left field @.@

Good thing I don't download that kinda crap. I feel sorry for the people who's family uses the same computer they play on though. I see this crap getting really big just because people like to download stupid shit.

Yeah this is really getting out of hand, SE needs to fucking step their game up with the security, if this keeps up.

Download..? I thought they were talking about digital photo frames?

Wow totally misinterpreted. This shits stored on a product for purchase?! Reminds me of a certain iPod event lol.

Even so, perhaps a nifty toy; I also don't buy that kinda crap for my house lol.

EDIT: eh, apparently I've been studying too much. I did the same skim over of that article I would have done to my notes. <.>;

thats really messed up...i am glad me and my bro use separate comps for our gaming needs

I'm just glad we didn't buy into the digital frames crap now - I think it's overpriced anyway. Thanks for the article and the heads up. I'm more scared of my identity being stolen than my FFXI account being stolen.

makes me happy I'm a 360 user... all this stuff is getting way too much now.

Check your facts. This isn't targeting FFXI directly, and it's in a form that I sure as hell wouldn't have seen.

This is slightly old news; Best Buy had to recall thousands of the Insignia frames that were selling like hotcakes between Thanksgiving and Christmas because there were Trojans installed.

Granted, who knew they were keyloggers for games?

edit: clearly I didn't read the rest of the article as it listed the infected Insignia frames at the bottom of the article.

Would it might have been useful if they'd named which frames are currently infected? >.>;

Off topic, I can never quite understand who uses digital pictureframes. You can't exactly be too poor to get them developed, so I'll have to assume you're too lazy to get them developed in one hour.
Enjoy the corrupted data that was once your newborn's photos.

Its probably more for the yuppy folk of our day. It might also be more of the "haha, look what i have!" ah... neighborly love.

The elderly love them, actually.

They're targeting all MMORPG's. And its a virus, nothing SE can do anything about.

Also had it on external HD's produced in China.

Apparently some employees on factories put viruses on the products, whic hare then resold through stores, thus infecting PC's with viruses used to steal passwords for games.

I assume they won't go past that, though. As in, I assume they won't move on to steal credit card information. That would be a rather severe crime and get them jail time. The police is likely to do nothing as long as it involves game accounts. Credit card information on a mass-scale is a different matter, though.

WTF is a digital photo frame?

probably the few reasons why i glad i still play on PS2 XD

These RMT need to stop making viruses, and do what they were normally born to do.. "COOK General Tso's Chicken!!" :-D

Thanks for the heads up man.
Seems RMT groups are getting to desperate as to violate people's computers.

What people do in their spare time so shrewdly to piss off the greater population... thanks for the heads up
