Anyone else not like this new layout besides me?

I like the new look. I don't see how people can dislike the layout...it's a forum; the buttons and locations are almost identical. Only difference is the appearance.

Well, it's mostly the looks. Nighshift looks good though ^^;

Well, the speed is excelent, and the fact that it actually DO remember you as logged in (something the old qcdn failed to do in 80% of the cases for me) is good, and the options are good.

but best of all, it has a calendar! YAY! *runs off to set Dynamis LS times so people actually comes*
 
Before you know it, you'll be used to it.
Some changes are worth it, considering the board hasn't taken a crap this morning. Response time seems to be greatly improved.
Job well done, Sculli.
 
It seems to be a million times faster. So far so good. I'd gladly give up the old appearance for haste. It was so annoying when I was bored at work and nothing would load :(
 
Headbanging carbuncle is apparently too large now and I'm too lazy to fix it or make a new avatar at the moment. Oh well. :(
 
i don't really like any of the skins... any just basic black text on white forum layout w/ minimal graphics (office is ugly)? i'm using bp brown now, but i hate the clunky graphics and how huge it makes each post....

Not too large, just ...., headbanging ...
Animated avatars and sigs are discouraged.

I will be adding a minimalistic style when I find one. There are a couple floating around, but I didn't have the time to track them down just yet.
If you, or anyone else for that matter, come across any style they would like to see added to the board, feel free to post or PM me and I will add it in short order. Just make sure it is a vB 3.5.0 or vB 3.5.1 style, can't use the 3.0.0 ones.
 
Ehhhhh ... the old one was so much easier on the eyes... this looks cool and all ,but I'm having a hard time focusing. lol
 
Try the very bottom left drop down button and switch styles. Nightshift and BP Brow/Grey are very easy on the eyes. White background will make it hard to focus.
 
I just made Nightshift the default style for the board, that way those who see the new version for the first time will hopefully be less shocked.
 
Basically liked the change. Ain't this a newer version of vbulletin?
 
Well I'm goin' between blue-breeze and nightshift so far. If you ever see any more feminine backgrounds I'd like to try those out Sculli. I was hoping the spring and plum would be it, but sadly they are very "boxy" looking. Or mebbe some kind of medieval look. Just suggestions. I get bored with backgrounds^^.

I love maneuvering around the new boards. Only thing that I think I can possibly find to complain about so far is if you want to move around too fast, it tells you you have to wait for 60 seconds and preceeds to do a countdown.

I really like have the quick reply option. You cannot use smilies in quick reply but you can in a regular reply, is that correct?

Well, I think my short term critique is done. Thanks again Sculli for coming back. I know you know this already, but you were surely missed.
 
I noticed that if I don't do anything on this site fore like 10-15 mins it logs me out. Is there anyway of making that time longer?
I do tend to do other things when here (like classwork atm) so it can get annoying to have to re-enter my password again, especially after typing a post. I think the old QCDN was a little long since I never had it happen to me back then.
 
Smilies are currently broken to a degree. Will fix them Tuesday night.
It should convert anything that's smiley worthy to smilies no matter where you type it. If you scroll down on each page, there are Posting Rules on the lower left side, and it says Smilies are On. Click on the Smilies link to see what you need to type to make a smiley appear (though right now most are broken).

The 60 second delay is the "you can only post once every 60 seconds", I can lower that delay to something a bit more reasonable sometime today.

I will be looking through those and add more styles to QCDN, but not before Tuesday night.

Will look into extending the time it takes before it logs a user out.

I know it's your board and all, but why were animated avatars disabled? Is there a reasoning behind this, I had a walking 3d renderd Zidane that I really liked, it wasn't going balistic or too distracting. Just like to know why they are discouraged now.

Love the response times of the new boards, hated trying to log in at 9pst and not going anywhere. Good Job.
 
Most things like animated avatars are defaultly disabled on Vb boards. Sculls said he hasnt got much time to work on things like this until tommorow night so i think best thing to do is to make a new thread with a list of things people want him to have a look at.

Infact ill make a new thread so people can put things in there and not make a new thread for every thing
