Anyone here got Fraps still working with FFXI?

Title sais it all. I have been using Fraps for some time, but all of a sudden it stoped working. Well to say it in detail FFXI stops running with fraps on. It usually gets stuck after pressing the play button in PoL. Its strange that all of a sudden it stopped working.

Anyone else having issues? I don't recall I have done anything in the FFXI setup nor in the Fraps itself. I have not changed any drivers eighther. It works on other games but not in FFXI. Shame that I couldn't record my last CoP mission.
 
I haven't had any problems with it, but I only take snapshots and haven't tried recording a movie with it.
 
mine works fine, took lots of pictures and even a small video yesterday =/ (btw if it wasn't for me warping, that video makes me look like the leader of the goblin army or something XD )

On an earlier version of fraps it casued major keyboard lag and made ffxi unplayable with fraps on, so maybe it could be something with your current version of fraps? try re-installing fraps or something.
 
The only problem I have with fraps is that it tends to slow my game down a little bit whenever im in a populated area, or have lots of people around while video capturing. It's even started to slow down the game when video capture isnt on. What bugs me about this is, my computer is more than capable of running both at once with no slow down and yet I still get slowdown.
 
FRAPS is a program you can use to record your FPS and other vital statistics for any game played on PC. Many people however only use it to record screenshots and movies.
 
Fraps works... Windower don't though =/
 
I haven't ever been able to get FRAPS (or Windower) to work. Drives me nuts!!! If anyone knows how to fix the problem PLEASEEEEEEEE let me know.
 
Well, I haven't tried windower in sooooooooooo long time either :P

Describing the problem would help too you know.
 
I can't explain it. It's all working right, but if I press the F9 key nothing happens. I have the full paid for version even. Go figure. It runs in FFXI, but it doesn't take screenies.
 
Done and Done Acks. Malakai and Jazper both tried to talk me thru it. Something just isn't right with FFXI, POL or my comp I'm assuming.

Btw, I can take screenies just fine thru the POL version, but if I have FRAPS running in my thingy on the right (where the clock is), then I can't take any screenies at all. So FRAPS IS running in FFXI, it just won't shoot the pics for some unknown reason.
 
Kat ... by default, Fraps for me was set to take screenies with F12. Make sure yours is infact set to F9, or if its the default F12 still. :D
 
Click on the movies tab and use the following settings:
Makes sure your vide capture key is not disbaled and set it to F9.
then click on the Screenshots tab and make sure your Vid Hotkey and SS hotkey are different.
I also suggest you change the folder it saves to as one on the desktop if you plan to use it often.

Wierd... I will try putting everything to default see if that works.
