Alright, seriously what the hell!? People think it's okay that just because it's the first of April they can be complete jackasses and say "April fools" to make it all better? Really gets annoying being told, "Hey we got you some icecream" then bam, April Fools! Ingame is no different, getting an invite to a party, then when i get to camp, April Fools! Lick my ass you bastards who waste my time and bother me with such pranks.

Freakin tired of these April 1st jokes. Online this year seem to have a blast, having many website being jacked around just the way i don't like em. Other thing that bothered me was "General Discussions" this year, I mean last year you actually made my eyebrow twitch, but seems too obvious this year. Lastly I want to say is, I wonder how many people actually agree with me with the annoying holiday; I mean once a year to be a douchebag. Seriously though, i wish everyone a Happy April 1st.

I can't decide if you're serious, or if this is a lame attempt at an april fool.

I lol'd irl.

Lol'd at this. That would suck bad if It did happen, but i'd laugh my ass off.

Why use the excuse of a holiday to be a jackass when you can do it yearround!

semi serious since both happened to me today. :3

I was sad we got no good drops in Salvage. Otherwise I'd be like "Fatty! Lot those!" > "Naw, I'm just kidding. April Fools! :3" > "I'm serious fatty. Pass them. Why would a garka get anything? You're just here to do the dirty work."

Someone invited you to a party, and when you got to the camp noone was there?

Ahhhh hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahaaaaaaaaaaa

I would be so pissed if someone did that to me. April fools or not.

Where is April Fools day a holiday?

When you loosen the salt shaker top and say April Fools when someone spills it and everyone laughs. When someone says they drop'd your Xbox (as sensitive as it is) and say April fools. Also when your work calls you on your day off and says "Your late! Where the Hell are you?!" but says April fools (Which happened to my friend).

But on a day ending note.

What I hate most is getting a phone call in the WEE hours of the morning with the words "Im pregnant" bashing through your ears.

A whole day goes by until 12:05 today, then youre told its an april fools joke...

Cruel world.. lol..

I don't like april fools :(

I don't like it either now. Its just an excuse to not be creative/funny, instead its just an excuse to be an ass/dick or to rick roll people. Seriously the amount of rick rolls yesterday was fucking stupid.

The only people who were actually funny yesterday was Blizzard entertainment, those gags they did actually made me cry with laughter because they were funny, they weren't trying to be asses/dicks, they weren't rick rolling people, THEY WERE BEING CREATIVE WITH JOKES!

/end rant

hehe, I got that too -.-

and I only like April fools if its either:

1) I'm the one pulling the prank
2) someone does a prank thats so stupid I just bash on them for it and make them look like an idiot.

In modern day France, the first day of April is called "Poisson d'Avril" or "April Fish." An April fish is a young fish and thus, one which is easily caught. French children fool friends by taping a paper fish to the victim's back and, when the "fool" discovers this trick, yelling: "Poisson d'Avril!" Traditionally, French pranks must include a fish (or at least a vague reference to same within the joke) and it is not unusual for friends to be presented with dainty presents fashioned in the form of a small fish on All Fool's Day. The nickname of "Poisson d'Avril" is said to have been "acquired" by Napoleon I (Bonaparte) when he married Marie-Louise of Austria on Apri 1, 1810.

In Scotland, where the tradition is celebrated over the course of forty-eight hours, April Fool's Day is also known as "April Gowk," "Gowkie Day" or "Hunt the Gowk." "Gowk" is Scottish for "cuckoo" (an emblem of simpletons) and thus, a "gowk" is the butt of any practical joke. The second day of the Scottish April Fool's custom is devoted exclusively to pranks involving the posterior region of the body. This is known as "Taily Day" and the origin of the ever-popular "Kick Me" sign is likely traceable to this observance. The same custom takes place in the Orkney Isles (located just off the Scottish Mainland), where this area's "Tailing Day" is also celebrated on April 2.

In England, where tricks and pranks are only permissable during the morning hours of All Fool's Day, the victim is known as a "noodle." In the Cornwall region of England, an April Fool is also known as a "gowk" (as in Scotland) or a "guckaw." If a child is successful in playing a trick on another, then it is usual for the perpetrator to taunt: "Fool, fool, the guckaw!." On the other hand, if the victim fails to fall for the trick, then the retort is: "The gowk and the titlene sit on a tree...you're a gowk as well as me!" A "titlene" is a hedge sparrow. In the County of Cheshire in England, an April Fool is an "April Gawby," sometimes referred to as a "gobby" or "gob," while in Devon, unlike the remainder of England, pranks are allowed in the afternoon and the custom of pinning an inscription such as "Please kick me" to the coat-tails of an unsuspecting victim is popular (again, much as it is in Scotland). In Devon, however, this is known as "Tail-Pipe Day." In the Lake District area of England, an April Fool is an "April Noddy" and at the end of the day, it is customary to chant: "April Noddy's past and gone...You're the fool an' I'm none."

In Mexico, April Fool's Day is observed on December 28. Originally a sad remembrance of the slaughter of the Innocents by King Herod, it eventually evolved into a much lighter commemoration involving pranks and trickery.

In Portugal, April Fool's Day is celebrated on the Sunday and Monday prior to the Lenten Season, with the traditional trick being to throw flour at one's friends

Also:

The origins of this custom are somewhat uncertain, but may have initially been related to the arrival of Spring in late March, at which time Mother Nature is said to "fool" the human race with sudden and fickle changes in the weather...showers one minute and sunshine the next. The playing of practical jokes, however, dates back to Ancient Rome and such activities were an integral part of the Hilaria celebrations held on March 25, a celebration which would again appear to be associated with the coming of Spring and the Vernal Equinox, held to honor the resurrection of Attis, Roman God of Vegetation who was linked to the seasonal cycle. In England, an ancient legend states that April Fool's Day commemorates the fruitless mission of the Rook (or European Crow) which was sent out in search of land from Noah's flood-encircled ark.

I tried Wiki but it just listed their past pranks on the public, or I didn't look hard enough. The latter could possibly be the truth.

April Fool's Day is ridiculous (and pretty pointless in my eyes) and all-in-all a replacement for a better celebration :P

April Fool's is the only time of the year pretty much every media channel, be it television, Internet or newspaper, let all of their employees go all-out with fabricating news. Free for all, anything goes.

Some fat skank came up to be and said "You dropped your gay card" I was close to smashing his face into the ground... I mean Com'on that's not even funny that what people say when their 7 for fuck sake. I want this day dead NOW!
