Avesta...again.

Well I'm looking out for his Byakko solo, only one he hasn't done.
 
This guy has got some serious talent, I love watching his stuff. Suzaku ran out of MP after a bit. Avesta is an awesome lil dude. Thanks for the thread and the cool website!^^

Wow im amazed I only wish that all jobs with enough skill can solo at least half that good.
I cant really see to many jobs ever doing half of the thing that avesta does even with all the gear and FFXI knowledge in the world. But yes im sure all in inventory is full of meds and gear or maybe all gear lol

I watched 2 RDM and 1 BLM try to trio it. They did an outstanding job until being overwhelmed with Slaves, unfortunately the BLM couldn't keep up.


Having Suzy run out of MP seems pretty imperative for a solo victory, aside from an amazing magic and physical damage reduction set. I can't imagine trying to survive Suzaku chain casting Firaga III > Flare > Fire IV > etc, even while spamming Chainspell Stoneskin and the like.
 
This is a little off topic, but I wonder if Suzy ran out of MP prior to Chainspell or what would happen in that situation. Would Suzy use chainspell before he ran outta MP? What would Suzy do?!
 
SE should make some sort of ingame item trophy he can bazaar just specifically for him lol

This is a cool idea, maybe like a more elite maat's cap. Maybe have a unique spot open up in the treasure pool if no one else dmgd the mob, and there was no outside help the game could track (cures, buffs, etc). My vote would be like a "movement speed+" earring, lol.
 
Most likely silenced it through CS. How he got it to stick at the right time is something I like to know. Would love to see his merits and gear.

Nah thats not really viable to rely on silence landing on this HNM. Especially considering the pop set loss.
He must have waited until it ran out of MP then taking it through the chainspell popping period of its HP. Which is 80% - 50% i think ( not so sure on this, but i know there is an area of the HP bar that it uses it).
Seems he has develped multiple gear sets for soloing too.
Full - melee damage% taken set he uses when all defence buffs have dropped.
Full - magic damage% taken set for eating those agas.
And his usual gear; fast cast set for stoneskin, shadows buffs
refresh stuff, etc.
Looked quite easy to blink tank from the vid though which was surprising.
Just need a bit of luck with the double attacks > magic use > double attacks> magic use.
