back in the day

Where is Jamal anyway?

It was on the Bored at Work ventrilo that we had with some of our more...colorful members from, well, back in the day.

I was also the one who found out Jamal's photobucket was unsecured, and passed the info along to Kotsu, and disavowed any knowledge of it entirely. I told him he could do what he wanted to with the info, and he chose to make a scene and get his butt banned on QCDN for it.

Oi! You give the man the ammo to shoot himself with?! lol

That shit was hilarious. We all took all this crap too seriously, I guess some people still might. I harbor no ill will or feeling towards anyone though. It just sits in my memory as something hilarious from years long gone. Either way, you still can't give me an arsenal to attack with and expect me not to take ever shot I can at someone lol I'm just a little nicer about it now-a-days. My man Lucki knows, we still hang out RL. Still catch up with Brydan every now and then

lol glad I'm nice and predictable XD and I will. Chris and I still have softball in the summers. Aren't you friends with him on XBox Live. He plays a lot of Call of Duty. He thinks Skyrims gay, which is what you and I have been playing a lot of lol

Yea he's on my xbl, but I don't talk to anyone much online anymore. The time I do get to play I buckle down and chatter just annoys me. But he does make a note to harass me on FB.

Still kicked his sorry ass on CoD, which he'll never admit to. Sorry loser ;p

How the bloody crap is "Okay...." trolling? How? In any sense of the word "troll", how is that trolling? Just seems like someone wanted an excuse to hit me with RO and fucking leave the site.

Jammer's still rockin' and rollin'. I talk to him every now and then still.

The only cool things Kotsu's ever done is 1) sell me cheap dynamis currency and 2) back me when he disliked me so much when I was calling out mods who weren't doing their jobs.

And yes, I'm fully aware those 2 things involve myself. Its all I really pay attention to.

Nah, I pretty much do nothing but work and occasionally go out and drink/pick up chicks at a bar every couple weeks. Basketball Thursday nights fall/winter. When that's not going on, I try to get out and I do stand up comedy. I got my cool things lol but I get where you're coming from, we all only care about what effects us personally. That's really it between us. I don't harbor any ill will or resentment from the bickering and bitching back in the day. Completely apathetic over it, truth be told. I tried to get dynamis currency for cheap to anyone who was building and wasn't a gil buyer though. Dislike you or not, as long as you were building and not buying gil, I didn't mind. It's just a game anyway. Haven't wanted to play it for years; didn't even want to play it the last few months I did play it.

I remember that :D God, there are days I really do miss that linkshell, but I never forget that moronic bullshit self-important and self-entitled members of it was the driving force behind me and Stine calling it quits.

I take credit for, at most, the moronic bullshit part lol

Yeah, a lot of people always quit less than halfway through their upgrades. Encore always had a rule that if you wanted to sponser runs for upgraded, show us by equipping your self-funded stage 3 piece. Cause if you can't make it that far, you're not going to get a fucking relic.

You're right. Business was business and forums were forums. Anyone I disliked on the boards, I never pulled that "I refuse to xp with this person" to a party leader or anything. It was nothing like the time where I belive it was Zeph in an xp party and they needed a tank and I offered. But then Kayleen/Darsha/Hitaru had to discuss it amongst themselves first. Right there I simply rescinded my offer. As long as people are properly geared and do their jobs I couldn't care any less who they are.

If you act like a retard on a forum, I will think of you as a retard. If you play like a retard in a game, I will think of you as a retard. Two different things.

Disclaimer: Sorry for using the word "retard" you PC freaks.

Cool man. That means a lot to me to have left an impression of that kind along with a couple of my best friends. I think I fully understood what all my friends in game really meant to me shortly before I quit. While I always appreciated them all I think I really understood what a hell of a crew I had in Encore's dynamis shell once it was over. I ran with Dynamis Heretics for a while and at the risk of it being a dig (not trying to, sincerely) I had to do things in there that I never had to tell anyone in Encore. Such as sub ninja in dynamis-windy, etc.

From the guys who stuck it out for so long that didn't need anything like Raes, Jamal, Genkaku, etc to the guys that did well and just purely made runs enjoyable and funny like Rappa, Willian, Soujiro, Roady to our awesome mages like Zyn, Mish and Micah (do not!), we all might not have been the most pimped out on the server, but we all knew what to do without having to tell each other. That kind of chemistry was and is rare in an online community.

A lot of people though were there since TheDynamisShow days when Foofighter had the shell. New members, new rules and such got to be too much. Myihta and I created Encore (when Foo wasn't able to attend and gave me his blessing to take things over) and pleased 99% of the people with the rules that the people all suggested (making it much looser and fun!). That un-pleased 1% of course was Lavi. lol... of course only Lavi would sit there and call me a greedy fuck for making it a better shell for everyone. Just like how Fury was too "greedy and selfish" to change their whole schedule to get him/her/both a chance at a Juggernaut. ...a Juggernaut.

Man, I miss Lavi.

i thought it was over a silly thing.

in other news, no - i don't blame you. not a bit, actually.

Oh come on now you know it wasn't over just ONE silly thing. It accumulated. ;)

Someone needs to come out with something else now. Its been a while since QCDN entertained me this much. Quick, someone bring up a conspiracy. Did we ever find out if Sixpac was Jamal?

I got one, see below!

Your attitude on the site had been real shitty back in the day (who knows, maybe it changed maybe it didn't I dunno!) and you were probably leading yourself into a trollol comment. Here's a fun conspiracy: Myrrh, you got away with so much shit on this site (like flamebaiting and troller-blading certain members like there was no tomorrow) because we all (yup, all the mods) didn't want to slap you with any RO or bans or anything because of your illness. Man we'd get reported posts and it'd be like "yup, Myrrh's on the rampage again, oh well we'll just delete it and let it go or try to convince the person who is complaining it's okay or something". So no, calling you a troll and slapping you with an RO should have happened long before that instance.

I always found it weird that all the shells that I really enjoyed being in were on Quetz. I mean, yeah, I decided to stick it out on Sylph when I came back to the game, for a variety of reasons, but I really miss the old days in TDS, Encore, & Rise. iiZerg, at its peak, was a fucking machine, man, totally dominant in just about everything that we wanted to dominate, but it felt like a machine. I have like two or three friends on the entire server of Sylph, and most of the time I asked for help in iiZerg, it fell on deaf ears. I miss my old friends here on Quetz; there are a handful of people who, if they asked me to come back and take part in some grand scheme, I'd probably make the jump.

Lavi, on the other hand, I miss like a hole in the head. The only thing I miss about Lavi is the ability to go back to the old Flameboard posts and see just how horrible it was, lol.

That was so obviously the explanation Helen Keller would've seen it coming.

Seriously... back in the day I did so much flamebaiting on the boards, I am surprised I didn't get slapped with an ro status. It was funny how many people took this board so seriously, including myself.

I had the pleasure of partying with jamal, almost the best exp per hour I've ever gotten... next to abyssea
