I ignore it because of the circumstances pertaining to this individual scenario. On the flip side, it's probably been enough time that it really doesn't matter. Plus, I bet Kari's old character has already been wiped with a RMT incident anyway. lol
 
lol. Is it really her fault that someone was stupid enough to pay money for her account? Hell, if I needed money RL and I quit the game do you think I'd hesitate even a second to sell my account? Fuck no I wouldn't! Nothing obtained for the character was done in a way that would piss me off (hacking like sellers do to get claims on stuff) so idc really. But I guess to some people using claim-bots to succeed is a-okay but selling an account to make some rl money isn't. Anyway, flameboard's over that way to gtfo please!
 
Lol the character wasnt sold to RMT anyway. Was sold to a kid in alabama who wanted a higher level to get his WHM af for his main character. Amazing what pay pal will tell you. If it was sold to an RMT gilseller, I wouldn't of sold. Way to jump to the worst case scenerio ;) Too bad it wasn't accurate, or you would of had a valid point.

But your right. I should of lost my apartment and let her sit and rot in cyber space just so you wouldnt get pissy :D

RMT = Real Money Trader. You traded game information for real money. That makes you, yourself, an RMT. That's his point and it is in fact a valid one. Just no one that anybody cares about.

Ahh, well, 9 months ago RMT was gilseller. So I was under the impression he was accusing me of selling it to a gilseller and thus bringing down the economy. Either way, I guess I'm an RMT. But people that know me know I loved my char, and wouldnt of done it if I wasnt in serious trouble. :P
 
RMT is selling anything virtual for cash. Characters, currency, items. It doesn't matter which you sell. It's an all encompassing term. Adena Farmers, Gold Farmers, Gilsellers are specific terms.

Guess that makes us RMT buddies then!

But honestly, the issue with RMT is that they monopolize the game content to the point other players can't obtain things because of them, instead forced to buy the items in which the gil becomes sold on the real money market.

The whole premise of hating RMT is really more or less because of that, and the players that buy the gil to get ahead. Buying an account? Pretty stupid, but hey, if selling it gets you by IRL for whatever who gives a shit? You were a legit player who wanted to get back your investment you put into your time. I did the same thing.
