Then don't recommend to others to take the easy route and gimp themselves. You're already 75 at two jobs that you should have had PCC for LONG ago, you're a lost cause in my opinion.
The fact you try to justify yourself being a RNG without having the most popular RNG piece over the last 4 years is beyond me. That's your decision, its wrong, but I'm not gonna try to change your mind, because you've been riddled in mediocraty for so long you've been accustomed to it. What I do have a problem with is you telling others its ok to do so as well.

People like you created the Ruffy's of the world, getting advice just to get things when you can, until you reach a point when you can't spend the time to get things anymore. Everyone relaxes at some point in their career in this game, and if you start out not caring, then you're gonna be even worse when the grind actually does hit you.

I'm sure Jordan still puts on a pair of jordans to play, and not gimp it up with XJ-900s.

Not to mention Jordan worked harder than anyone else to get where he is now, so because he put time in early to make himself the best he could be, he doesn't have to worry about a thing, well besides million-dollar gambling debts.

When my THF hits 50 I'll probably work towards one. Been a pain since I came back with 0 gil, been grinding it out, but my NIN is pimped, my WHM just needs hedgehog, then I might go after one. Still want bb, kote, level 37 kayhan, soborro, and other random crap for my jobs.

But I figure that THF wont have as much acc cause I'm going after a haste build at 50, so a PCC should help out tons with that...and dagger merits.

I wouldn't call it a luxury item, I'd call it a rounding out the character item. I know I should have one right now, but I gave over 40m worth of shit away when I quit, and came back to about 2m worth of gear I had accumalated on my hume.

Gear swaps aren't needed because you can function without them.

You don't 'need' anything in this game, but that's not what a standard item entails. A standard item is something that is obtainable at or near the level of the job currently that outperforms everything else at its level without costing an arm and a leg.

If your standards are really that low, then you can't ever say you outperformed someone based on skill. It takes a knowledge of the best gear available to develop skills and make the most of the job.

Yes, I am trying to get all these items, but you know, okote are #1 on my list, hands down. #2 might be PCC, and I am still doing BCNM for it.

no, I did upgrade my gear with what I had. I did take peoples suggestions, and I am now. My opinion doesnt change at all, I dont believe these items are needed, just wanted. Thats where the whole debate stems from. The difference between need and want.

I dont believe I need the gear. But I do want it. And Im working toward it.

What other game do you have that you have put this many hours into. If you have other games that consume this much of your life, than there is no real life to compare it to.
No matter what I do, I take it seriously, and put forth my best effort. But seriously, this is way off task. For god's sakes, this is freaking 2M gil. I'm not saying get a speed belt or you suck, I'm saying to take pride in what you do here. A PCC can be used for ANY melee job at lvl 33. Once you buy it, you are in effect 'set' for any melee job's neck piece for tp gear. How many other slots can boast this kind of versatility, worthwhileness, and irreplacibility for the extremely low price of 2M

And I stayed 4 hours later last night, and will do so tonight if I haven't finished what I need to get done. Ask Willian if you want, I mentioned it to him ingame. I set my own hours, and my clients are happy because they see the work I produce. In fact, I'm going on vacation to Cali this weekend because I've worked my ass off and earned it.
Before this week, when's the last time you saw me on the boards? When I'm at clients, I don't come on the boards, my focus is 100% there. When I'm at my home office, I have flexibility, and take advantage of it.
Don't attack me outside of game concepts that you have no idea about.

PCC is one thing even though it is alot easier to obtain than before now but something like Swift Belt is even easier and free. Last week when I did the weekly XP scroll quest in Sacrarium there was group of 3 killing the popped Mithra NM with nin/whm/rdm.

The pop item you can farm from Decent Challenge mobs solo or with a friend. I always see threads about groups putting together a run if you don't have a ls that does that sort of thing. The drop rate is around 20-25% so that's not that bad. There's really no good reason anyone with a job that can benefit from it shouldn't have it or be in the process of trying to get it.

For anyone complaining about it being "too far in down the storyline of CoP" - Have you ever taken into consideration that maybe the reason why you are having such a hard time finding people to do the missions might possibly have something to do with the fact that CoP was realeased in September 2004? Unless you're brand new to the game, what the hell have you been waiting on all this time?

Sure sure, you stayed up late last night after you could have avoided doing so by not spending another 4 posting on a forum and doing so when the work was needed, but again, I am sure you have a perfectly logical explanation. Instead of doing work that you obviously have, you chose to do it later and that's not a sign of a man that takes his work seriously. That's the sign of a slacker and procrastinator.

Seriously, don't lie to me, don't make your excuses. If you put as much effort and drive into your real life as you do this game, you could probably make a lot more and get a lot farther than you are. But instead, you're happy just doing the bare minimum finishing things just before they need to be finished, right? No need to answer, I alreay know, you told me so in your first sentance.

And you're the one that brought this up. Being succesful in a game does not equate to being successful at life. They are vastly different and there are far more factors at play than the simple mechanics of a game.

I knowingly procrastinated, because I know the amount of time it takes to get something done. The reports I was presenting (Status reports for last week btw) were all in on-time this morning. Rather than working 8 hours without breaking and relaxing time at home, I instead decided to come here and browse while waiting for email responses for information I needed.

Stop nit-picking one sentence at a time looking for a single logical flaw and listen to the meat of what is being said. This isn't a puzzle, its simple. Where are your comments regarding why I don't post on the forums for weeks or months at a time Lavi? I earned the time to be able to spend my laxer times as I want, because I work my ass off when needed. If my time isn't 100% chargeable time as it isn't this week, then its not as critical to produce at a productive rate.

And...considering my age and my field, no, I really couldn't be much further than I am now. I can't work into the future, because PO's don't get created for my time until I'm at the clients. After working 60 hour weeks for 4 weeks straight on the road, yes, I might not work as hard for the one week when I'm not traveling. I don't expect you to understand this, I'm sure i made one slight anomoly in this post that you'll focus on rather than listening to what I'm saying.
