Bahamut as an Avatar

Hi everybody :)

Something I'd like to mention is that the very word "avatar" implies that you're not dealing with the actual entity, only a physical representation; a mere fragment of its true power. As such, I can still see Bahamut being a plausible summons in a scaled-down form.

I also think that the idea of having a Smn merit up to him is really, really cool.

That being said, though, I'd really rather have Alexander :P

Having Bahamut as an avatar only attainable by Merits is killing all the other Merit options instantly.

Not to mention all the SMNs that have already capped/used their Merits...
 
Actually, what I meant by merit is make it a stand-alone category, not subject to the same rules as other meritable traits. I don't know how feasbile that would be in terms of game design, but I really think it would be an excellent way to showcase Smns at the very pinnacle of their game.
 
Sephiroth simply exuded badass pure and simply. I mean he was a villan who was actually smart enough to kill of his enemies and did it personally to make sure some idiot didn't screw things up. His Theme song is damn catchy and lets face it people hated cloud...

Bahamut as an avatar? What part of NO way in HELL you bastards did you not understand When SE was talking. This is not even mentioning that Bahamut is the wrymking. His gigantic scaly ass is not bowing down to you for anything. He can summon tiamat(his sister in babylonian mythology) to come and slice your ass for him instead of simply sneezing on you. If you went from supreme being of the world to some midget freak's lapdog you would probably take out the world and everything in it rather than serve him.
Thats just a big ass demotion right there.
 
I think what most people fail to realize is that Bahamut doesn't even have any good moves except his -flare moves. And have you tried avatar magic out in a party recently? lol

Please don't give SMN Bahamut. I would prefer to have good abilities instead.

On topic, Bahamut as a new avatar would suck. Bring in Phoenix or Odin if SMNs absolutely must have new shinies. Better for the job, though, to bring in new BPs. Diabolos was the latest new avatar and he's really only good for his ranged attack BP.

Depends on how you want them summoned. In FFVIII they were both random summons. That would work well for BCNM where your party is on their last leg and a SMN gets to randomly summon Phoenix to revive everyone.

Even better would be for Phoenix to have an ability to remove weakness on all people who are weakened.

Odin wouldnt be so good if it was a random summon. To instantly kill any standard mob is a bit overpowered. But if he was a static summon, that would be excellent.

In the end:

Phoenix = Random (Maybe a 2hr summon?)
Odin = Static

It has been talked to death, and you keep making silly suggestions, like Yellow Mage.


Mail your suggestions to SE so you can get some mail back that says "Thankyou" but in more words, afterr reading the word 'suggestion' and comdemning it to the recycle bin.

What different is a Poll to this thread other than format? it seems like a more retarded and wordy PC+1

Yeah I was but lets face it... Everyone is a midget freak as far as bahamut is concerned.
