I am waiting to see how formeless strike and the new chi blast TP nerf, will affect monk at endgame. If you consider than endgame is only sky gods, sure monk is not that effective. But if you have ENM, Sea, BCMN, and other nm lol chi blast is a must. hundred fist, Chi blast claim, Tanking some mobs, DOT...

Chi blast, tomhark, voke, drg merit polearm thorwing thing, charm

all the same time to cast all you need it network traffic or some one doing

I began leveling Blu because its the most addictive job in the game, lol. Also can be one the most complex, which is probably why you see alot of bad ones out there. I myself am just trying to get a handle on what spells to use with CASATA, was having bad results with Death Scissors, but later I realized it was probably because we were killing tigers(beasts), and DS is a vermin spell.



Btw, <3 Magic Fruit, with /whm and light staff, my cure highs were 377hp at lvl 59.

Prolly was getting bad results b/c of killing tigers, because I've read people hitting 1k+ on it, lack of taru str could be called into play on it though, since it is a 60% str mod, but with enough str swapped in should be fine.
Anyways I'm lvling BLU because it's my favorite FF job, I wanted it since I started FFXI over 2 years ago, sure I may be the slowest lvler out there(55 atm >>) but I have fun on it. I'm also lvling RDM because it's the first job I played when I started FFXI over 2 years(and it's only 62 ugh) and I have fun with it, and I owe it to myself to finally get lvl 70 on it lol.

Formless Strikes sucks against gods, damage goes down, a lot. Chi Blast doesn't seem at all effected by the magic nerf, even after a nice long Kirin, and Penance doesn't make that much of a difference against normal HNM.

Formless strikes has 1 use: Meleeing shit you're not supposed to be able to damage, such as Metalloid Amoeba, Invincible mobs, and otherwise doing something other than Chi Blast against something with less than 10000 HP. Very nice for certain ENM/BCNM, Limbus,

Penance has three uses. 1: Normal exp, especially duos, near-disabling a mob's TP gain for that fight, very handy against Skoffin and such. 2: Completly fucking up mob AI in Dynamis and Besieged, they don't know how to cope with TP Inhibit and almost entirely stop TP'ing. 3: Rotation of 3 fully Penance merited MNKs Chi Blasting to keep a mob's TP gain down. But 25% isn't that much if you have a full alliance trying to melee the thing, and it's not much if you only have a few trying to melee and whiffing a lot (like gods).

Party of the "good jobs" - 15-20k/hr
Party of well geared/skilled "good jobs" - 15-25k/hr

I won't accept an invite from a lvl 74 when I seek for merits (Aside from manaburn, but that's different) and I won't take an invite from a job that sucks at parties, ie smn. I'll party with friends that aren't the ideal jobs (I've done melee burns with lvl 73-74 plds) but not for strangers.

since they tend to go yellow often using diaga will A.) screw with thier exp b. make em unable to sleep the mob resulting in a dead brd or rdm or blm.

5k/hr is what you get when you go to a crowded area with a mediocre party; Blm in a melee party, smn main healer, etc. When you spend more time waiting on pops than you do fighting, you're not going to pull 8-10k/hr.

"Sucks at parties" is often pretty synonymous with "Useful at endgame", and vice versa, or so it seems today. If anything, these jobs deserve parties to return the favor. Endgame jobs get EXP jobs their loot, and EXP jobs get endgame jobs their EXP. It doesn't seem right to benefit from these jobs where they excel only to turn them away when the same jobs need a hand.
