Bullpen is the hardest thing for a GM to predict year-to-year, that's for sure. The 'Sox pen has been decent so far, but by the end of the year I expect them to be the best in the league, and I don't think that's too much to expect with the arms they have out there.
As for the Yankees, Gardner is definitely an excellent defensive center fielder, just not a fan of the corner pieces for the Yanks. The Pen... well, Bruney is going to be great, I think. A lot like Manny Delcarmen for the 'Sox, once he hits a stretch where he's finding the strike zone, he'll be unhittable, much like Delcarmen goes through stretches like that. 'Mo will keep doing what he did last year, but I think this is going to be his last good year, if he even pitches after this year. Edwar is a head-case, IMO... he just doesn't seem to have the mental make-up. If he's up 5 runs, he seems unhittable, but in a close game he seems to break down. Just my observation. Marte... well, he seems to be in a funk right now, much like Wang, except without the excuse of "coming off injury" to fall back on. As for the rest of their 'pen, I haven't had a chance to watch too many of 'em throw this year, yet. Been busy with schoolwork since the season started
