Just saw it tonight and I must say... VERY AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They finally made a Batman movie that doesnt suck, and while not 100% acurate, comes damn close. It is full of action and doesnt rely too heavily on suspension of disbelief (they explain how Bruce is able to get all those wonderful toys without letting everyone know how he got them and loads of other cool explanations). The casting was also very well done, along with character development, even of minor characters.

In short, GO SEE THIS MOVIE! Even if you know nothing about batman, the movie is a nice introduction to the mythos.

I'm just hoping next year's superman movie turns out this nicely (although everything I have read and seen leads me to believe thatll be a piece of crap... ;.; )

-Ham

Haven't seen it, but plan on it! Christian Bale! WOOHOOO!!!! <3 <3 <3 Such a cutey. Absolutely loved him in empire of the sun and while no one seems to ever have seen it, equilibrium is darn good too. ^^b Helped that it was loosely based on one of my all time favorite books, fahrenheit 451. I'm really excited about this one. :D

Dark Knight > Superman

I'm not to sure who Christian Bale is, but I hear the casting was based on phisical ability rather than acting ability. Bout damn time they did it right.

I'll be seeing the movie this weekend even though Christian Bale seems a rather odd choice to me (but then I'm biased because I absolutely hated "American Pyscho"...but then I hate Bret Easton Ellis in general). Anything is better than a Batman in the hands of Joel Schumaker. I'll probably see the Superman movie when it comes out too, even though I've always found that character extremely boring and flat. Same goes for the Fantastic Four, including that boring and flat part.

Yeah, I saw it yesterday, it's an excellent movie. I liked this portrayal of batman better than the rest of the movies. He didn't just walk in a door and fight guys in plain sight, he hid in the shadows and scared the crap out of them. The movie is definitely worth watching, the game's pretty good too.

Its that one movie when he kills everyone! ;) (american psycho)

I wanna see teh Bat!

Equilibrium rocked, so I can only hope that what you guys say is true. I'll have to persuade someone to take me to the movies.

I am teh poor. :(

I loved American Psycho.

That movie has some of the most memorable lines ever.

"I was trying to listen to the new Robert Palmer tape...."

"I had to return some videotapes...."

Bale is a fine actor I think, and I cant wait to see this film.
Batman was handled well by Tim Burton, but slaughtered by Joel Schumaker.
Schumaker added so many homosexual overtones to such an un-homosexual
character that he almost entirely single handedly ruined Batman.

(nothing against homosexuals, but those overtones had no place in the Batman mythos)

I don't care how fine of an actor Bale's turned out to be, he will forever be "that guy from Newsies" in my brain.
(and regrettably so. I hate that movie)

I am not ashamed to admit that when I was young....I loved Christian Bale in NEWSIES <3

He was really great in A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM as well. I think he is a great actor - I am hopefully taking my dad to see BATMAN on Father's Day....even though Katie BODY-OF-A-PREPUBECENT-BOY--I-AM-TOM-CRUISES-SMOKE-SCREEN-OF-THE-MONTH Holmes is in it ><

Aww come on, her nipples make a cameo in the end of the movie.
Seriously, it must've been cold in there because she had some diamonds pokin through her shirt.

I saw the midnight showing of it when it came out and OMG it was AMAZING. I always liked that side of Batman that, well, just wasn't shown in the other movies so far. I love the story of his training, makes for an excellent reasoning for his style. Also, the previous Batman, post-Burton, films really blew chunks so it is really nice to see someone do it right for once. I have been severely disappointed by ALL of the comic book movies of the past 5 or so years, except X-men wasn't *that* bad. Batman Begins had better have a sequel and not just leave it at where it was, despite the almost lead-in into the first Keaton flick at the VERY end. We'll see how that ends up.

In this corner, weighing in at a collective 75 pounds, Kirstin Dunst and Katie Holmes.

And in the opposing corner, wearing very very red trunks, the amazing Jender!

I plan too see this movie friday or sometime on my vacation. Glad too hear someone liked it. I liked the first two Batman movies which was done by Tim Burton but the last two which was directed by someone else were not that good too me.
