I had one guy tell me all of the sexual things that he wanted to do to me. It happened that my boyfriend at the time was at the table right by him. It was interesting. XD I understand that sometimes the waitress will go out with you but I think most people here could tell whether or not a girl was really interested in them.
I thought I was the boyfriend at the time >.> Because I remember you telling me about an incident just like this once that occurred while I *wasn't* eating there.
Before me probably?
Italian
Noun
barista m. (plural baristi) barista f. (plural bariste)
1. barman (male), barmaid (female), bartender (US)
most of the strange words at starbucks are italian in origin, or at least based off of it. "frappe" (add an accent ague on the e) is an italian word that refers to blended drinks, plus add cappuccino and you get frappuccino! our sizes are structured more like Euro sizes to. but i understand that most people don't care to observe the world references around them, since most ppl are just so damn egocentric that they think if it's not american it belongs elsewhere (insert banjo music)
do some research next time before hurling insults, k? :3
Frappe - from
frapper, in the Original French.
Frapper (v.) - to hit, or strike. (in the context of coffee, to "beat the drink until blended")
Instances used: Force de Frappe -- the French Military "Strike Force"
Don't make me frappé you all across the RSI boards :O
Unless...
I could kinda see where you got huffy about Myrrh (not knowing him and all), but I don't understand getting all bent out of shape about Tristam's comment (especially given the tone of this other posts in this thread). He was just making commentary on how pretentious the company itself is in a joking manner. Tristam is a smart fellow, and telling him to do research is probably not the best way to make friends or get sympathy for your poor customer experiences.
Kinda makes it come off, to me anyway, that you are a really defensive person and maybe you are presumptive and defensive like that with customers and that is why you have such a hard time with them.
Oh wait.
i could just have only been on the forum for like... a week? xD i'm afraid i haven't forumed in a while so i'm out of practice reading ppl's sarcasm on posts

SORRY TRISTAM!
ya, the starbucks corporate can be really pretentious and it sucks lol. even to it's employees!
argh. sorry again ^_^;;
Oops. 'sallright, we don't hafta fight now.
Yeah don't worry about Tristam. I'm his wife and when he says stuff like he has in this thread he's just joking. He worked in restaurants for like 7 years and I worked in restaurants for 10 years so we know how you feel about customers. It is hard to tell when someone is joking on a forum sometimes. Don't worry he shouldn't be offended. If he is I can kick his butt.
*pffaaaahahahahaha* I love you baby
You can call me all the bad names you want. I know you want me.
lol asspickle.
Ninjalot edit -- Yeah, I was joking about Starbucks "creating" the word "barista" -- much as anyone thinks that Christmas or Valentine's Day were made up by department stores to boost sales.
However, I do find Starbucks (the entity itself, and *some* of its employees, but not all) to be highly pretentious, and when I'm feeling particularly hoity-toity I'll go drink me some Venti caffé mocha, and order it as an "extra large".
On the other hand, I
DO find the Apple Corporation and all its associated employees to be the highest level of pretension (I luff you Lucki if you're watching this!!)
