Be nice to your baristas

Well serving coffee isnt as bad as being in the clothing retail.
If I have to fold every single friggin shirt on a table because its a mini Mount Everest with like 100 polos....and I do a damn good job at it too, I'll do it.

But do not, and I cannot say it stronger enough....DO NOT come around my fucking table and pick up five of the shirts that I just folded and stacked by size and just fling it back onto the table when I just fucking fixed it!
When I ask if you need help, either say no or ask if we have a shirt in green in medium size or something.

Fitting room is the worst...people bring in a shit load of clothes, and they either:
A) not take anything in the end after trying them on, but bring them back to me, which is what we prefer
or
B) leave a mountain of clothes in the fitting room stall and only take a few items in their hands to the register.
Would it kill you to bring whatever you brought back to me? Seriously, I am not your fucking maid, pick up the clothes you tried on and at the very least, hand them to me.

Do not say "I'm sorry" and just leave your mountain on the folding cart I was using to fold stuff in the fitting room either. No you are not sorry and if you were, at least put it on the unused bench right by me.
Not on the neatly folded stack of clothes I just made, you douche.
The worst part is that some mothers tell their kids to leave the unwanted clothes in the fitting room because I'll pick them up later. Lady, I will slap you right upside the head.
My mother would have killed me if I did that.
She's always said "If you're not going to buy it, don't touch it. If you're going to try something on but don't want it, fold it the way it was and put it back or leave it on a table."

Otherwise, my job does have its perks. They outweigh the cons and aggravating factors of my job but god dammit at least be considerate. It wouldn't kill you, trust me.

I thought I was the boyfriend at the time >.> Because I remember you telling me about an incident just like this once that occurred while I *wasn't* eating there.

Before me probably?
It was before you. :P Something like that may have happened while we dated too. I'm not sure I just remembered the event that happened with my ex-boyfriend.

*pffaaaahahahahaha* I love you baby :D
For a second there I thought I broke you. XD I love you too hubbyhugglyboobear.

omg i get so ocd when i go into a clothing store. i HATE unfolding all the pristine polos etc. and when i pick one up, i always fold it as best i can to match the creases that are in it, because i hate undoing somebody else's hard work TT_TT kudos to you for even putting up with it!!!

You people can lynch my cousin the next time she's in one of your stores.

She's one of those people who leaves clothing sitting on the fitting room benches (and I mean, like a metric tonne of the stuff), dumps unfolded shirts on the incorrect racks, and other such ilk.

i don't even do that in libraries, nevermind stores! i always remember EXACTLY where shit goes so that i can put it back. i HATE making somebody else put it back for me :P

This one time I was working at Starbucks there was this one irate customer who was bitching and moaning about his latte not being ready in 2mins. since he was going to be late to work. I happened to be on the bar making the drinks and he kept me giving this dirty look like I was the dude that shot a load in his wife's eye that gave her pink eye.

Anyways, he asked me several times to hurry up and telling me how slow I was at making his drink. I just looked him at and asked, "What would piss you off more? Your latte not being ready by your standards or a ticket on your car?" He said the ticket, and then I pointed to a BMW that was parked in the handicap spot without a placard and asked if it was his. At that moment a cop was writing a ticket for his car, and he ran out trying to talk the cop out of him giving him the ticket. He got the ticket and a luke warm latte from it standing on the bar lol.

Sweet, sweet justice. No wonder he was in a hurry. Parking in a handicapped spot without a handicap. I hate it when people do that.

STINE! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO MENTION TRIST'S REAL NAME!!

Honestly, I found this to be the funniest part of that story lol.

Original and awesomely hilarious :D

Oh here's another thing that I hate about retail (or anywhere in general, really). If I am helping someone, don't bother me. Don't say excuse me, don't ask me a quick question, don't get in my way. I am helping someone else, you are not more important than who I am helping. Please shut your mouth, sit down, and wait until I am thoroughly done helping the first customer.

Except that I have a problem with salespeople who are the only person working a single (rather small even) area, and have been talking to someone for 15 minutes and carrying on, goes to get something for said customer, makes eye contact with me, can clearly see that I'm waiting patiently to be helped, and doesn't even say at least "I'll be right with you, sir" or at most "is there anything I can quickly answer for you? I'm working with a customer at the moment, but I can offer you immediate help or direct you to where you need to go", or at medium call for assistance.

I always fold the clothes and put them back from where I got them. Also..another thing:

I hate it when people come to eat in..and leave their table a giant mess like a tornado blew over, then NOT leave a tip. That sound's greedy but, if your going to trash the place your eating at..tip me some money xD or you can be nice and try to clean up so it's easier for me to clean the tables.

Which reminds me, one time I went to a diner with my brother and his girlfriend. We are all under 30. (Trust me there's a point to this.) We get in the diner, and get seated immedietly, and it was around 7PM. They hand us veggies, and we notice that we are the only "young" group of people out there. The couple who sat ahead of us, they seemed in their mid to late 50's, sat down a good 15 minutes after us, ordered ahead of us, and left before us.

It's not just a coincidence either. The people next to us, although not as old as the other couple, but perhaps in their early 40s, also were fed before us and left before us. When we ordered our food, he didn't ask us if we wanted an appetizer or drinks. We ate our food with water, and the waiter didn't even come around to ask us if our food was any good. :\

We left the waiter with a dollar tip, but handed the busboy a $5 and asked him not to share it with our terrible waiter. :[

We ate our food with water
That's why.

Can't speak for Stine, but every server/waitress I worked with in the restaurants I worked with always had a predisposition about people (particularly teenagers or college students) who order water with their meals only. The predisposition is that they will not tip well regardless of service given.

There is the same thoughts about elderly people and a lot of different ethnic backgrounds as well.
