Well remember the incident with Kink and Shyrra? She called him out and after a while the whole thing blew ending up with threats =\ But she made a good point imo. Soon after she was banned(Due to harrassing etc or w/e), IMO nobody was taking her serious and she had to, well say somethings that got her banned. But, remember the whole thing started with her calling him out for threadcrapping.

And lets not forget the warning on my acct (I think everyone can view it by checking my profile) for using the word "faggot". Now, if that constitutes a warning, there are a lot of people in trouble.

I would guess warnable offenses become banable offenses if they are done over and over.

Then again, it was from petty ass Neo who still hasn't given me the moment in time he stopped agreeing and loling my posts, till now where he goes to bed dreaming up excuses to ban me.

How the fuck are at pictures 10x more annoying and worth perma ban over people talking shit about chicken/bacon, fried food of every variety and flirting over and over and over in no contructive way repeatedly by the same people or a large group how is that better?

I'd say the main reason is that about 60% of topics end up haveing cat pictures in them. If it happened every once in awhile, sure, thats just great. This has been an on going issue for awhile.

As far as the fast food goes, i covered it in another thread. People were actually contributing to the discussion, and more then the same 3 people. That thread was pretty active for awhile. I said it before, that thread is still serving a semi-active purpose. It would be better to delete the first post, change the thread title, and move it to off-topic or something. It wouldn't get anywhere near as much response, but thats the way it goes i guess.

So if you don't like that alot of people are holding a discussion about something you don't like, then just don't read it. How many people still go in to the WoW forum and start out, "lolWow < FFXI N00bs11!!". Its pretty much what you are doing, but to a lesser extent.

However, the multiple derails by the same people talking about the same night they hung out with eachother over multiple threads does get a bit much. I will agree with you on that, and i know most other people do judging by the thread where this was started.

This is also a very good point. I can't even count the number of times, even while Meeze was banned, that people would just make the racial remarks about him. I didn't care at all, but if you are going to give a warning out for something like this, then you have to keep it uniform and equal across the whole board.

You want to derail, fine, I know its part of what the "cool" kids like to do, but keep that shit to one thread. Just make a derail thread, and all the kids who want to post cat pics and talk about arby's can hang out there.

I challenge you guys to make it the longest thread over. But you have to keep all derails in there. Matter a fact, use the Shyrra thread in WoW, that one is already off to a head start. I don't think you idiots have the discipline to do it.

Now you're taking it out of context. My original post was directed towards flameboard posts. All flameboard posts seem to putter out and become something they weren't originally in the first place.

It's not topics I don't personally like. I rarely look at posts that don't seem appealing (the Summoners thread, I don't even think I touched that).

I don't really know how to put it exactly in words. I mean, all conversation generally never stays on the same subject. It moves around from topic to topic. I think limiting what people can post (especially on the flameboard) is kind of silly.

Obviously I don't want to see posts like: "lol i r going to flame Nidhogg lolzlolz" but, like a few of the more "epic" threads on the flameboard, they get derailed. Sometimes they stay within the confines (Chasym's I Hack thread comes to mind) and sometimes they don't (I'm Thinkin Arbys), but nothing ever stays on the same subject.

I want to see moding on threads that don't need to be derailed (i.e. Auction House, Linkshell Recruiting), but on the flameboard it just doesn't seem worth it.

Like I said before either ignore it, don't read the thread, use the mark this forum read tool, or just start ignoring people. Start utilizing the tools this site gives you if you don't like what's being posted. No one is telling you to read specific threads. You can tell right from the OP of how dumb and illegitimate the thread will be.

I knew when i read the reasons for this thread that the cat pics thing was going to come up sooner or later. and everyone knows im the person that made that an issue in the first place. lately i've been getting droped hints and PM's oif people asking me where the kitties are. the way i saw that really the only mod that was really getting pissed about it was Garvin (when he was a mod at the time anyway). he was threatening me with banning me & all and that flame derailed into the issue of me and my cats for about 1 or so pages.

at first i droped em everywhere but then i limited it to the flameboard. i would keep it to 1 cat per a page (with it set to max posts per a page) and wouldnt deviate from that. Many found it ammusing and just as many found it annoying. but at a civil request from the mods (something to do with a kitty cannon & K.Y. or whatever) i stopped my cat posting antics. im kewl with Eleibfrid and Cmdrfly (he actually rated me up for a catpic in honor of his breaking 10k posts). i've sent in a few cats at special request but i know some of you miss them.

now as for the derailment issue. derailed threads are a part of QCDN and getting upset over it is redundent imo. watter off a ducks back people. why waste the energy getting mad about it? :wacko:
