You can ignore certain threads easy, I haven't looked at arby's thread since like page 3. But then that crap leaks into other threads, and one thread that was derailed right away and went on for 9 pages before being locked.

Then there was the thread I brought it up in, which turned into a gear/skill discussion that was derailed by the same people.

There is no need to derail every topic, no matter how stupid you think it is, just leave it the fuck alone and dont post in it, how hard is that...again I know I'm speaking to teeny boppers, but maybe someone gets it.

Actually the skill subject in what is this person thinking ended because Ruffy stopped posting after you owned him. I know what you mean because it was an interesting discussion of skill/gear in the game with a lot of valid points mostly from you. Rairan posted again then another derail proceeded because of Rairan posting again (this would be the true end of the skill discussion). Then it became you and Morwen bitching at each other.

Yes you are right about Lec and a few other people being the primary derailers of the second derail. Yes you are correct to think that yes Lec has been taking a Shyrra like posting method lately of PC+1 for derail.

As for leaking I said in a PM to Shmedly that it was contained til someone brought it up in Meet and Greet which lead to BBT's SDFJSLFSADFNSDJFLS STAY ON TOPIC post. Tristam and someone else (I remember you specifically, Tristam, because I responded directly to you) in another thread. So yes that was a contained discussion until a few people, myself included because I responded, leaked it a little bit. Otherwise it isn't the next Caturday because it hasn't been posted anywhere besides the threads that I pointed out, and the dead horse thread of people who force DC.

Why is the force DC a dead horse? We have tried to make lists before, but no one ever wanted to take the duty to update the list. Not to forget there is no way to really know if someone forced DC or not unless you lived with them and clearly saw them force by either CTRL + ALT+ Delete, alt + tab, disconnecting an ethernet cord, or simply turning off the system.

You have valid reason for making this thread this is why I was trying to respect the validity of your post by not derailing it into another derail bitch fit. We may not like each other, but I wont try to derail something that is completely legit.
 
We need to work de-railing backwards, start a thread about Arby's and soon it will become a thread about gear or serious ingame issues.

This is going to sound dumb concidering it's something I am guilty of, but I think alot of de-railing is down to folks who no longer play FFXI posing in the FFXI related threads, and it has a tendancy to go from there. I think we have more de-railed threads than ones on track.
 
This isn't legendary, this is just a boring rehash of the Flameboard and QCDN in general. Meeze, you seem to be losing your touch. Before, your posts and flames seemed natural, now it seems more forced. You do have a few good points, but it's very poorly delivered, I think.

Now how long before some dipshit replies and says the usual "If it's so boring why did you reply?!" like it's clever and hasn't been used a million times before?
 
He has a point. Derailing in general is happening a lot and it is a bit aggravating at times. I'm guilty of participating in it on a very rare occasion myself, as I did in the Jyakotsu flame which was started by a sockpuppet, whiny and pretty weak. I think if there's a genuinely engaging conversation going on, then the derail is more irritating and uncalled for. If the thread is started by, or existing only to revel in it's own stupidity, then that's different.

I do agree it doesn't need to be happening in every over thread, and that if it is, it should be addressed. Granted it is the flameboard, and yeah, 3/4 of the people posting here are here to have fun giving other people shit. But, in the interests of not making the forum your personal inside joke bulletin board, at least try to tie it to the thread somehow or have something to say that has merit to the topic at hand. I've tried to do that anytime I've posted something in the midst of a derail, usually in an effort to put a topic back on track, with the exception of my response to Lec & Wen in the Jyakotsu thread. I guess I hadn't been paying attention to the extent of derailing lately, as I have been on QCDN long enough to skim over something that is of no interest to me.
 
Flameboard Derail Rules:

1. If it is the OP's first post/is a sockpuppet
2. If the OP gets his ass handed to him so badly it's not worth discussing anymore
3. If the person being flamed gets his ass handed to him so badly it's not worth discussing anymore
4. If it isn't endgame drama

If at least 2 of these are true, then the thread is derail-worthy.

Might as well crap a thread that has no/served its purpose

It's just as easy to ignore a thread when it gets derailed, but isn't it just as easy to go make a new topic about [x] random crap rather than derail an already-made thread with that junk, which potentially misleads people and wastes their time because they expected something else? I mean it does get annoying seeing a thread with new replies, only to learn the past two pages have been about something totally different. Even worse if it actually gets back on topic and derails AGAIN, because then you're stuck wasting time between a lot of posts and it hards to see who's being serious and just screwing around and such. A derail every once in a while is forgivable, much like Caturday and Rickrolling (I guess...) but once it pops up in every single thread it just sortof becomes old really, really fast.

Also, Meeze...your sig. Osode RNG? Get a Kyudogi, damn.

Nq crb mantle stats are weaker than forager's and technically weaker than amemit+1( 1 more str and up to 3 less atk)
The saving grace of an NQ is that the emnity and fire-resist are all in one spot so the tank loses less emnity swapping to it/using it for fire resist sets vs tiamat or whatever.
 
It's nice for tanking mobs that you can still DD. Fights like hakutaku, antillion, charyb etc. I'd guess on gods also, though I've never tanked gods on NIN.
 
Spoilers: Agreeing with someone is different from "swinging on their dick". Kids these days have no idea what they are talking about.
