Won't get banned for flaming on the Flameboard.

I guess it's difficult to know when you're breaking the rule and when you aren't, when you can't read well enough to differentiate "Linkshell Recruiting" from "Flameboard".
 
This whole thing reeks of "lol I hax" humour.

Not like the mods/admin don't bend their fair share of Rules though.

Neo has flaimbaited in CC&AH many times and all the "popular" mods derail and participate in derails often.
 
If we banned for derailing, QCDN would be dead.

If we went back in time and banned for past flamebaits, QCDN would be double dead.
 
Yes you shouldn't go back and Ban for past offenses. On the other hand going forward, rules are rules and they should be enforced equally correct?

Here it would be more towards the line of Double Jeopardy. Meeze would be facing something that was more then likely brought up in the past (mods will have to confirm this). So it's like he's being tried again for something he's been cleared from before. Too bad we can't do it to OJ.

Anyway.. Them lying blatantly in that fashion to entrap some unsupecting newb who doesnt know anybetter by some miracle is worse than any flambaiting meeze might be doing on the topic that essentially is letting the people who have not seen BOL in action that they do have drama and lots of it as well as several hackers, rmt supporters, ect ect and various other things about that ls.
There are not very many nice ways to outright call somone out on bullshit like that and franlky whenever A bol thread starts and claims they are hack/drama/ect free they need to be one step closer to being banned.

I even remember a case where a mod attempted to cockblock another player from selling an item on the AH section. Player M posted to sell a serket ring at slightly over the current AH price and Mod N decided to say that they are X gil cheaper and trying to sell for that price was too high. The next FIVE sales in the AH were for the same price as that player had listed (and probably woulda have sold it for) or higher.

If colbwa wasnt banned would not people making links to his previous posts/flames ect be doing the same thing as meeze and the various other posts that were deleted from the BOL thread?
I'm pretty sure noone would care about it if that did happen.
 
Going forward - yes the penalties will be even across the board. We have no real guidelines in place right now which is why we see some variance; it's entirely based on personal judgment atm.

If I know Meeze... he's got no problems getting permabanned if it will also bring down some of the declared "idiots" in his OP. But one way or the other we're not digging through old shit to penalize for new rules.

That'd be like issuing cash money out to aboriginals for transgressions we pressed upon them over 200 years ago. Wait...

I've complained more than once about mods and certain other users posting in AH topics they didn't create and I don't think anything was ever done.

Bias against BoL isn't really fair. It's not like there aren't other linkshells that do the same shit BoL does. You can always flame them here. Though I wonder, is it allowed to create a flame about a linkshell on the flameboard and link to the topic in the recruitment topic? That seems like the proper way to do it. I know Jyakotsu was allowed to do this once with Summoners's ls so...
