Being Polite...(rant)

Roofie, I don't see how calling anybody who posts here "stupid" is going to do you any favors. Yes, apparently we all disagree with the way you play, and it would be a great pleasure to not invite you into a party with your attitude you're showing me and the others. By saying you won't party with any of us, you're also shutting yourself off from many within the community. Like it or not, apparently a lot of us who post here have plenty of influence in the world, via Linkshells, friends, and friends of friends who we can spread the news about "Roofie is bad news"... the worst thing that can happen in a MMORPG is having your reputation shattered, and it seems thats like what you're reaching for here. Maybe this isnt' the GAME for you? Try playing Diablo II. I hear there's plenty of room for greed and immature behavior in that game still, after all these years. Nobody will even bother your miserable butt for a raise, either! Paradise! No monthly fee! How about it? :P

This is definitely a Tilk moment. Hmmmm, until now Tilk was the only person I had to avoid. I really hate to make list of people to avoid. Sigh, but I think this warrants it.
 
I just want to point out that there are obviously players who have no problem with Roofie's attitude, in fact, those who are in the LS he is leading seem to agree with him.
 
Well then... Thank you all for making sure that there's one more person I don't have to experience myself before regretting meeting them altogether.

Ok now lets get this straight, Roofie is not a bad person. He's come off as pretty cool to me. Just because YOU think he is not suited for being a whm is unfortunate, but that is not the only job he plays. You shouldn't blist him because of what you heard from one person for one job that I don't even see him playing that often. To me he seems to play the other jobs more often, so if you see a PC named Roofie wave at him and maybe even give him a hug(lol). Naw but all in all he's a good guy, maybe he just plays whm for subjob reasons.
 
I think a lot of people have lost sight of the reason I originally posted this. If he want's to charge 1,000 gil for raises that's his choice - I don't have to agree with it but i can accept it. It's the rude reply and personal insults he's been chucking around here that I think have got everyone really fired up. Like the title of this post, "Being Polite" can go a long way :?
 
Sabia, I understand, and thank you for making sure that people know you're not being vindictive and mean. :) I mean, you were reluctant to say his name from the start, to prevent hard feelings...

But it's not other people's words, or your words, that have shown me that /blist'ing Roofie would be a good idea.

It's his own.

Everyone is obviously entitled to thier opinion, and no one should tell someone else what to do.

Having said that - if someone comes here to share the experience one had with another player in game, and then said player chooses to respond here in a manner that just enforces the view the original poster shared, then ..., well, then the readers don't really have much of a choice.

I have never seen Roofie in game, never pt'ed with him, but based on what others and he himself wrote here I would make sure that I never pt with him. I fail to see what's cool about him, but perhaps you care to elaborate?

I truly hope that y'all don't agree with this quote ... I also am a member of Roofies and I know there are a ton of you in this forum who have partied with me ... if you haven't then I'm sure we will at some point in time considering I'm such a level queen :lol: ...

Anyway ... while I don't always agree with Roofie's "ways" I do understand them and it's just not my place to go into the details about them ... also Roofie very rarely plays his Whm now ... so it's really not an issue anymore ...

One thing I can say for sure though ... he's a great leader of his LS ... he's always there to answer questions and help us when he can ...

Well, calling me and Sabia stupid is all fine and dandy. Still, I don't see any evidence of either of our stupidity in either of our posts. Both of us have told why we dislike what you do (while on your WHM, at least). You've done nothing but say that we're stupid, and have given no evidence to back it up so I can't take you seriously.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I never said he was incapable of leading a LS; I just said I wouldn't want to associate with him and would advise my friends the same. Anyway, aren't we getting off the topic here? The topic is its shitty for WHM to charge for raises basically, and its plain rude to be... well... plain rude, especially given the polite way she addressed you. Anywho, this is a dead topic now, and I can feel the heat of the Roofies' members coming to their leader's aid (although I don't see how they can justify his jerky attitude to Sabia).

She only gave out your name AFTER being asked to by members of this board so if you're going to be a prick fine be a prick, but your 14 yr old mentality of slamming people who only ask for a raise when you're a non-anon WHM in the Dunes of all places is like walking into a church and bitching about all the pictures of Jesus. And, that's the kind of attitude that's eventually going to hang your sad little ass end game.

Fact is, it's assholes like you who can make a team and community oriented game like this one miserable to play.

fact is ur a stupid bitch and i dont really give a fuck what u think. the point is if i choose to charge ppl thats my own fucking business. u dont have to like. as for complaining about too fucking bad. get over it. as for my LS, well they are all actually good ppl and well liked dont ask y they choose to follow me cuz im not entirely sure myself. and im not a total prick bastard to every1 i meet. i have no qualms about helping ppl i kno and like. thats y i dont go anon u faggot bitch. i like to be availaible in case friends need raises. if i dont kno ur shit outta luck so too fucking bad now get over it. god damn whiny cry babys. im tired of ppl pissing and moaning because of how i decide to play my own whm. avoid me if u dont like its that simple just whine like a faggot little bitch about it
