Y'know... This whole thread-- well, more specifically, whom this thread is speaking of-- kinda reminded me back when I used to play that Korean-based MMORPG ... You know, "Ragnarok Online"? I don't like bother people in this game, especially white mages - their job is tedious enough. In these situations or if i'm trying to get someone else a raise I try to be super polite like "Excuse me, I'm so sorry to bother you but do you do raises?" If they don't want to do a raise a nice "Sorry, I'm buisy right now," "Sorry I don't do raises" or "Just passing through so I can't" is awesome. "Thanks anyway, best of luck!" Is usually how I reply and no harm done, I'll keep looking or tell ther person their SOL.

But lets get one thing straight...when your a WHM (I play one and just spent over a week leveling it as my sub) you're a support class, the ultimate support class - your job is to help people and keep them alive. I don't expect you to do raises all the time, I mean you do have other commitments like your party and just getting things you need to get done, but when someone asks you for one (and you have to expect to get asked a lot) you don't have to be rude.

I asked a whm to raise this party member (not going to mention names because it's stupid anyway), I was fully expecting a decline but thought "Hey he's not anony, so might as well give it a shot." Anyway I got back an extremely rediculous "I charge 1000 gil." It had been a trying day in the dunes and I neglected to read his little caption, besides the pt member finally decieded to spawn, so I replied with "nevermind' and he comes back with "Can't your read?" so I say "No need to be a dink about it (I asked him very politely for the raise mind you) I stopped asking because he spawned" and then he got so rude! "Never ask me for a raise again, and learn to read" or something along those lines....so I /blisted him.

So just saying, even if your annoyed don't be a dink in the game! After all it is a community game and people quickly learn who's an ass and who isn't. (Everyone in the Dunes apparently knew this WHM and all felt the same as I do)

Sorry for the rant, but I was really kinda sad adding someone to my /blist :(

if you only help your friends what difference does being anon make?
If I go anon and a friend asks "hey, what are you playing as?" it's not like telling them is going to give out some huge awful secret.

As far as Roofie goes ... the character Roofie can be a real ass ... but the rl person who plays Roofie is a complete and total sweetheart ...

Ah Seppeku. Another name that belongs on the "I'm the biggest ass hole ever and im so proud of it" list.

He actually made new characters just to circomvent the blacklist, then pretend to be japanese and threaten me with port nukes and viruses.

...and then.... he called me immature.

Seppeku, yep add this @ss to the Blist as well. I was farming Farmer Gobbues out in Zitah and there were maybe 4 other people farming there as well including Seppeku. There aren't that many in the area so it's almost like NM hunting.

Anyway, I'm minding my own business farming by myself, when I pass Seppeku going the other way. All of a sudden he starts doing a auto follow on me so he can try and steal my Gobbue's. So I do a quick equipment change so I can get him off me and he goes auto running off. I guess that upset him cause I messed with his plan. So he starts Spaming examine on me :roll: . It's a good thing I had to go to Help with the BLK AF2 or there would have been a GM call pretty quick in the future.
 
RE:WHM supposed to raise

I know this is an old subject, but this is something people should know...
White Mages/Red mages or whatever Mage that can raise are probably rude about raising because they get harrased about it ALL the time. So you say "Dont be a Mage"... Mage jobs are very fun, for PARTY and PERSONAL reasons. A person should be able to play whatever class they want withouht harrasment. So you say "Just go raise them" or "Just dont go raise them".... Imagine how many times in one hour a Mage gets a request to raise someone. It's not just you asking for a raise."So go /anon" Why? Why should a person have to hide their lvl just to avoid being asked a million times to raise someone. The it's really annoying when you run across half the map to be nice and raise the person and they go to HP. Solution: Bring a Reraise scroll or wait for a nice Mage to run by.
PS: I am a nice mage :wink: When I'm not busy...
