What do boys like to do on Valentine's Day? (that entails LEAVING the house)

I think it is my year to pick...

Um ... in a word ... eat^^.

Sidenote: You can take that any way you choose Jen^^.

What do girls like most? I'm trying to think of something special to do for my new girlfriend (been going out for 3 1/2 months), and I'm not quite sure what yet.

I'm taking my wife out to this cabin in Big Bear, and were gonna go skiing/snowboarding.

Last year, she took me on a hot-air balloon ride

Maybe I'm strange, but I'd rather put a smile on a girls face and dredge myself through any kind of feminine horror.

So uh, pick whatever you want and be happy? I'm not much help, I guess.

My parents did that for their Anniversary last year Trizzip. They videotaped it. It looked really cool.

My parents are goin' to San Pedro Island for Valentines Day this year for a week. They are leaving on Sunday. Must be nice eh? Guess who's stuck back here watching their dogs? They better bring me home a cool T-shirt is all I have to say^^.

*Edit*
Oops, just noticed what I wrote above. It's San Padre Island, off the coast of Texas. Not San Pedro Island off the coast of Cali.

No matter what your significant other tells you, Valentine's Day is strictly a holiday all about the female gender. I think it was created to off set the Super Bowl holiday. :spiteful:

Honestly, as long as you are happy with what you all are doing, I'm sure your fiancee is going to be happy.

Yep. V-day = D-day to men. As long as the woman's happy, we will survive it.

If you really want to take him somewhere though, a nice restaurant works well. Earls, Cactus Club, Moxy's, Hooters are all fine choices (anywhere that serves beer & has hot waitresses). Or a strip club, but I dont know how 'romantic' that is to women.

Man, I hate Valentine's Day. Did anyone ever hear PCXL's cry for the man version of it, Malentine's Day?

sports tickets. cant go wrong with his favorite sport. quite a few years ago when i was still married, my significant other got me hockey tickets at ice lvl at center ice. omg that was definately the best

People still honor this bullcrap of a holiday? Sorry to be so negative, but we in 21st century now, isnt it time to leave the old stereotypes yet?

didnt know there was anything else to do... other than 'hump' as teh girl likes to say :O

Valentines day = just another lonesome crappy day for me :)

Admitting that if you have a problem with us, which we know you do but face it we are not mind readers and neither are you so we don't know exactly what it is. You should discuss it with us, instead of figuring we don't need to be involved in something we are very much involved in anyways, because we care for you and love you. Then instead deciding you need to break up and see other people and decide if you should be with us or not, while at the same time ostracizing us from any semblance of the role we used to play in your life and that somehow is able to make a better decision (I want to find out if I want you or someone else, or a relationship at all, but while I'm looking around at other guys, you can not be part of that decision....and that makes sense, maybe...). After we (guy) fix one of the biggest issues after we break up, without you even mentioning what the real problem is yet, you get confused, but still don't give us a chance to really fix it with you, because you need more space now that I'm fixing the problems....

I'd do that, it can be done out of the house, i suppose.

Huh???? Okay Matt, I totally /bow to you. You are the first man that has ever totally confused me. I can usually figure you damn male dogs out, but I'm totally lost here.

In other words, please elaborate.

PS. Are you drunk again and typing from that damn ironing board?

o.O @ Mattaru

I wanted to go visit Clo on V-day but I don't think his parents would approve <.<

Anyway, if you don't have a whole helluv a lot of money to spend on hot air balloon rides, you could always just take him to a movie in the theaters that he's been wanting to see (or just rent it) then take him out to a favourite resteraunt of his.

It may make more sense if I put it in "I and you" as if I was saying it to the girl its about.

I knew there was a problem with the way you were feeling about me, I can tell by how we talked, how you acted, the way you'd touch me, but I can't read your mind, you can't read mine. Its a relationship, problems will happen, and we need to talk about them we are together and then go from there. If you leave me to figure it out without talking to me about it when we are together, it means you think that it isn't something I ought to be involved in, but its you and me, how could I not be involved in it. Strangely enough, on my own, I told you everything you ever wanted to hear, before you told me that was a big part of it. but that just confused you. I can help you, help us figure things out, but not when you don't let me be close to you like I used to be. How can you know if you don't want to be with me, if you made a mistake by seeing other, and not seeing me at all in a manner similar to that. I have to choose between A and B, but A can't be around, and can't hold me, treat me like B can.

I love you, you know I love you. Give me a chance to show you again.

PS. Unfortunately, I'm listening to James Taylor, completely sober. This isn't a pity party, I don't want it.

Personally for me, the more expensive something is the more I dislike it. That is for a couple reasons.

1) Unless it is somehow chump change to you, the money could be invested towards something better.

2) If you are going to spend that much on me then that lets me know that you expect something similar in return.

I'd be happy with dinner and a massage (assuming you are any good).
