I waited a whole hour for them to Get to the city. When they finally do, I blink and they are all dead!! Nothing but a lag fest and 2 mins wasted for 46 exp. Wow that was so disappointing.
 
I want to give a big fat FUCK YOU out to everyone killing the monters outside BEFORE THEY REACHED THE FUCKING CITY! -.-;
 
I think it'll be cooler when people don't sit around and wait for it, in mass.

...Maybe they should have KB storm the town, casting meteor and killing everyone. Now that would rock!
 
There were so many people that of course the mobs died fast. When you don't have over 400 people waiting to gank all of the mobs as soon as they spawn, it'll be more fun.

Ya, like in the openning movie. Having like 5 Behemoths run in would be awesome. Strategy > Strength. Put the taru mages up in the rafters while all the melee are down below taking on the enemies. I would like to see parts of the city walls get destroyed too. Make the zones like Red Faction where basically anything can be destroyed lol

When the new expansion craze dies down, and everyone and their mother isn't sitting waiting, it'll be more fun, methinks.

Also, wasnt this a Level One assault? Meaning its difficulty level was at the bottom of the possible spectrum? Okay okay so Troll Mercenaries suck. What about the undead one, or the Mamool Ja version, or any of the other combinations? Maybe they just tossed this weak set at us as a test, proving ground. The next few ones they sent out might get progressively harder and harder.

Also, bear in mind, some of them have to be able to be done by groups of people -not- level 75, but possibly 60-65 as well, so to those levels it might pose a vastly challenging prospect, but to a legion of 75's, what besides HNM's and ENM's stands in their way? Not simple mobs, thats for sure.

Like Shyrra said, give it some time.

For all the people complaining, and going to complain, about how short and one-sided that Besieged was...

Well no shit, it was the 20-something remnants of the Troll Mercenaries (who had already been smacked around by 60 people out in the woods) against four hundred of our server's strongest. If it had lasted more than 2 minutes, we wouldn't stand a -chance- once the fad wears off and the player numbers are down below 100.
 
this was not designed with 400+ level 70's in mind no. more like 60-70 ppl in one zone, kinda like jeuno. you have 200-300+ ppl there at any givin time but 30% of em are mules and don't forget the ppl AFK.
 
True, the actual "event" sucked... but the buildup was awesome. So many people standing around waiting, freaking out and shouting for parties and alliances, Veresko trying to shoot my jug pet because he thought it was one of the monsters, Elimmire making that goofy Patton speech....the fact that it happened when all the JPs were asleep...

It was fun to be with a bunch of friends for the first one, gogo Akisu and Bluewind.

well from the fanfest developers explanation on the besiege the more ppl taht do assault the weaker the mobs are if ppl stop doing assault so much and just let the numbers grow the lvl of the mobs are higher and stronger. At fanfest when we went at it the mobs were at lvl 60 so from the developers mouth they just said more assault completion weaker mobs less assault stronger mobs that is how they put it.
 
400 people vs 50 mobs isn't gonna be tough. How about you wait until things die down a bit? or see how things work? look at Arrapago Reef.. they are building to 200 now. Know what that means? everytime we win they get stronger. Eventually we won't be able to handle em with 400 people x.x
 
Now all you needed was a hume wearing blue paint on his face riding a chocobo leading the army to victory. Or mooning the beastmen.. take your pick. >.>
 
Lol, everyonewas saying "Omg besieged is at 99%!! Come back to town!" While I was trying to get my last staging point (Dvucca Isle, or however the fuck you spell it). I'm glad I said "Screw that" and didn't go lol.
 
lol @ point-getters whining that people aren't letting beastmen attack the town. Good for those who intercepted. You don't ****ing let them near the town just so you can get your points on. Maybe if you idiots weren't too busy spamming refresh on alla you'd have more fun and send a signal to the dev team that their players aren't just playing to flash their internet armor at everyone else.

You're a fucking idiot. The event starts when they reach a town. That is Besieged. Jesus christ, you fucking know nothing about anything. Go back to your shitty dynamis, never poke your nose into anything else.
