Meh, I'm bedridden for 3-4 days a month generally. Hurts so much I can barely walk. I used to have to miss school for it, and my bosses have known that once a month I'm out of commission.

/comfort Yomi

Mine used to be pretty nasty too (though not as bad as yours sound), but they've mellowed some as time goes by. Getting on the pill helped a lot too. The nicest thing about that was that my parents paid for getting me on the pill as a teenager without asking any uncomfortable questions.

Don't forget the WONDERS of menopause - which we will have to go through as we age.

/sigh men are woosies ;)

Ok, serious question: Are menopause and menstral cycles (why isn't it womenstral cycle btw?) really that different for woman? My ex-wife for example usually flew through her "aunt-flow" visit, and she said that childbirth was no where near as difficult as she had heard (even though I watched the doctors take scissor's a certain area... ). So again is it different for all, or can some woman just deal better?

It is different for every woman. My friend gave birth in 2 hours...it took my mother 14 hours  Cramps/menopause are the same way. Some girls are lucky - some are not. It's just like how puberty hits people differently.

Why do I not find it difficult to believe that you tortured your poor mother for 14 hours? You probably exited giggling too!

My mom needed Forcepts (sp?) for me...

Yeah, my mom and grandma had nasty cramps too, but my sisters don't. Childbirth varies a lot too, though I'm hoping to never find out about that part 8)

women deffinately go through quite an ordeal for the sake of nature to provide children for the world. and some are blessed with overly painfull monthly cycles wich i am sorry you are forced to deal with.

but so that you dont feel left out.. men are given the wonderful joy of kidney stones wich have been described (by women and doctors alike) as giving birth to a baby that has sharp metal spikes. it can take anywhere from a day or two to a full week to pass a kidney stone. i have not yet had to deal with one of these horrors to mankind, but i have held my fathers hand while taking him to the hospital while he was passing out and puking from the pain. don't worry ladies you are much less likely to get these. and guys... lay off the calcium (cheese and such) if you'd like to limmit your chances at these.

My sister recently had a kidney stone.....

I never want one

My wife is pregnant and has a kidney stone at the same time. I feel so bad for her, and so lucky to be a male.

My son was born 4 days...yes...only 4 days late at the weight of 10 lbs 14 oz. You guys try passing anything that size out of ANY orafice in your body and tell me what ya think

Kinda like squeezing a watermelon through a straw

on this whole kidney stone thing, caffine also does it. which is bad news for me cause i use red bull like it's liquid sleep. ::slams back another redbull:: oh man what a rush!!!! ::left eye twitches:: Sleep is for the weak!

My friend used to DJ, and he's drink like 4 of em a day, starting at like 19 by 26 he had 2 kidney stones

Mental note...Talk to my doctor about kidney stone prevention.

Drink water with all your caffeine and vitamin C. It'll reduce your chances.

My mom was in labor for me for about 2 days i think...
and I came out with the imbilicle cord around my neck 3 times, and around my foot(I was a mess) and my face was blue

That explains a lot
