Best One Yet... LOL Faytajr... Communist?

I really just have to know why you have more respect for an immature child than you have for an immature soldier.

It's rediculous to hold them to different standards. I mean... before he was a soldier, he was an immature kid. Why expect any more from him because he's been trained to protect his country?

Title does NOT dictate behavoir. Holding him to higher standards for being a soldier is rediculous.

exactly, dont hold me to any different standards. that exactly what i want. the whole reason for me pointing out to faytajr's brother, or whoever, was that he just told me to go die, and yes im deploying again. so that erked me. im so sick of this, "hey youre an officer, you shouldnt be talking like that" this is the fucking FLAMEBOARD. if youre looking for political correctness, this isnt the place is it not?

Don't get me wrong, it's a stretch, but isn't 133 for when an Officer is making an ass of himself, such as hanging with prostitues or getting drunk in public? I think the gist of is that an officer is a leader of men/women. This isn't just when your on duty, because how you act reflects on the Army at all times.

basically yes, and no. yes we are full time soldiers, and yes that means we have to beahve a certain way that is a credit to our service. but come on, are you kidding me? i dont know one of my peers, who would not tell a kid to fuck off if he said "go die" to a deploying soldier.
if he said that to one of my soldiers, id tell him to fuck off myself.
seriously, by me posting on a flameboard (which is an outlet to let out frustrations and anger is it not?), youre comparing that to an officer going out and hanging out with prositutes? please that far from the type of person i am. i cant even go out and dirnk as much as id like to, for fear i will get a phone call saying one of my soldiers is in jail or at the hospital, and i would have to go pick him up. it happens every weekend mind you. everyone thinks being an officer is just about telling people what to do. i basically have zero free time of my own. i get phone calls 24 hours a day.
i just wnat to do normal things to for once in my free time.
i think geroge washington said it the best, "When we assumed the Soldier, we did not lay aside the Citizen." but for you guys, it seems like, im just a soldiers. period.

Yes, but 1: This isn't the flameboard:

2. You can act like an asshole. Has anyone arrested you? No. But on the same note, everyone here can say your acting like an asshole

I think a lot of people are forgetting a tidbit of basic common sense. As this is the internet and nobody knows you in real life, anything about you we know(or think we know), we know because you tell us. If you don't want to be looked at as a soldier, don't tell us yoiu're a soldier. Don't pick to spring it out on us to make yourself look more credible and then don't expect any downsides of the assumptions carried with.

I never said you were a bad officer, I just said you weren't acting like a 1st LT.

Because, someone in the military, like myself, know that you are EXPECTED by the people you work for to hold yourself to higher standards. Now....I can understand how you think thats ridiculous, and you have a right to your own opinion, but I'm telling you.....it is fact that you are expected to know how to carry yourself. I'm not trying to 'sling mud' his way. I'm not saying he's a bad person.....I'm just saying that its that type of behavior and attitude which enlisted ppl like myself think are shitty qualities in our bosses.

Now, some young kid who isnt responsible for leading ppl under him can act like a kid and not catch as much heat for it.

If I were to act like an 'ass' like this guy is doing, out in public, where other ppl I worked with who were above or below, saw me, I would be looked down upon and thats reality. Sure, I wouldnt be exactly breaking any rules....but do you think my evaluations would look good if I kept that behavior up? LOL, think again.....I would be considered, a 'shitbag'.

eternalisT said:
GTFO of here. You know nothing of how i treat and take care of every soldier that works under me. 2 deployments, no casualties. so stfu. you have no right to comment on how i take care of my soldier.

Look man.....just cause you dont have any of your guy's die on you doesnt mean you cant be a complete "fuck-tard" when it comes to being a leader. Now, I'm not there......I'm not them.....I cant speak for them and say if your a complete 'ass-hat'. I'm just saying, if this is how you like to carry yourself, then I feel sorry for those guys. There's no need to get all pissy at me. I'm just giving ya a little dose of reality, so just take it or not take it and move on. I could be wrong and you could only act like a two shitballs on a swivel stick on the game. That doesnt take away the fact that ppl who play the game and ARE in the military are gonna lose any respect they have for you. And sure, there's no rule agaisnt acting like a deuchebag in the game, and I agree, ppl should be able to act however they want when not at work. But if your gonna do that, then you have to accept the shit thats gonna come along with that. One of those things being, myself, seeing you as a ass-bag. Now, if I were to know you IRL and you were an exceptional guy, then sure....maybe my opinion MIGHT be different, but I dont. The only persona I see is the one you portray here in the game......and that persona aint nothing to be proud of bud.

I didnt see this post prior to the one I just posted. All I can say is, sure, you keep your men alive and good on ya. Like I said before, I dont think your a bad person.....but if your one of those ppl who thinks he has to be an asshole to be a good leader, then your dead wrong. I've seen a shit load of GREAT leaders who also knew how to keep the morale going strong. I loved em and thought they were the greatest role-models. When you can be a nice guy, and ALSO do your job and be a great leader.....then damn...your the shit. But just being an ass to accomplish that goal is like....a shortcut in my opinion.

And of course, this is ONLY my opinion. If you dont like it....then I'm sorry, I really dont care. You dont have to listen to my posts if you dont want to. Its just that there are somethings that ppl who work under you wont say to you. Things that only someone who knows you cant have any influence over them, will say. And right now, i'm saying those things. Dont think just cause i'm enlisted I'm not able to see 'certain' views of things. I'm a human just like you.....which is an important thing a good leader should know. Even leaders can learn things from their subordinates.

I only hope your not one of those ppl who think being an asshole is a quick way to a solution.

never have i treated any of my soldiers any less of a perosn because they were enlisted. command is a two way street. i learn from them, and they learn from me. i never dsirespect anyone of my sodliers, and in all honestly, my platoon is one of the most laid back ones in any ranger bat. but when someone crosses the line, i deal shift, hard punishment, be it an article 15, and/or extra duty.

btw, im a ranger, i serve in a ranger batalion. we do the hardest and most dangerous missions outside of a sof unit. so bringing back everyoen alive is important. ive gotten numerous aam's and am getting promoted to O3 at the bare minunum. i was selected at the very top of the list. (36th to be exact)

So your yelling at people for being assholes to a guy cause he was being an asshole?

Not neccessarily; I'm moreso annoyed that out of all the stupid crap contained in this thread he catches heat for being a soldier... Doesn't compute for me.

Say what ya want .. turd, ass, douche, stupid waste of carbon, whatever... but ragging him out for his actions on the internet based on his profession would only hold water with me if it involved sex with 8 year olds.

"You're a soldier, act like it" i would imagine he does on a regular basis or he wouldn't still be a soldier let alone in an authoritative position. Can't hold him to any other standards you would any other civvie jerkoff who comes on the boards and looks foolish.

Can't edit my last post but this was quoted for truth.

In the same respect it's not fair to jump someone's ass for what they claim to be/are irl.

It's also a bad idea to use something like that as a shield or crutch in an arguement, the sort of treatment you get after making such a mistake is mostly on you. However i doubt you'dve gotten the same hotbutton responses if you were a mechanic.

"You're not acting like you're AMC certified .... gawd."

Well, perhaps I did misjudge you a bit. The only thing that slighty miffs me is that you think by doing what you do, you deserve not to have ppl give ya shit about stuff in game or on the boards. But thats me.....its the kind of thing that is one of my 'pet-peeves'(sp?). And its because of that, that I may seem to come out as a bit harsh. Dont take it personal.

I respect what you do, so dont think i'm someone who's trying to crap on you. I'm just voicing my opinion.

honestly people get all pissy and take shit to seriously. anyone whos been in the military knows, you fucking talk shit like theres no tomorrow, but in the end, we know which side were all on. these people will never understand whats its like to fucking beat the snot out of each other one day, and then be risking and saving eahc others liives the next when were out smoking hajis.

nice to see we are winning the hearts and minds of those we liberated.

I did my 4 years in Marines, got out right before the entire 1st Mar Div deployed to Iraq, right before stop loss (regretfully). I know how Officers act when the spot light is on and its time to roll, I also know how they act when libo is sounded @1630 friday afternoon.. Its all about times and places, as LanceCorporal my senior Staff Nco's used to use me to mess with the new butter bars (1st Lt's) but sending them looking for boxes of grid squares, or keys to the hummers, or blinker fluid lol. Just because some one is an LT doesnt mean much in the realm of maturity outside the jurisdiction of the military, all LT means is they went to college and got a degree and passed the reqs and OCS and schools. It doesnt mean they are the model of everything God shines his glory on. Human just like any one else, and a flame board is hardly the frontline or even monday morning inspection. Sorry I almost never post, I just wanted to toss that in, dont try to judge boards on a RL scale, you'll almost always come up short, and pissed.

Regarding this one, i think you started this with the "hurry up rank 8 noob".

Although he took it out of the ballpark with the "i hope u get killed in RL".

People in QTZ need to treat each other with more respect...

I totally agree. 1st comment set the stage, even if it wasn't meant to.
The reply was just uncalled for.

I think setting the OP's affiliation with the military aside from this incident is appropriate, despite him bringing it up in the /tell war. It really has nothing to do with this at all, and I'm sure, as a soldier of this country, he carries himself as expected.

Till the time comes that you are willing to take a bullet for freedom, your opinions of the military man's opinions can be kept to yourself.

This thread makes me cry.

I'm glad we have people defending our country, it's something I could never do (literally; they won't take people with heart conditions.). However, I don't think having a military title exactly makes you better than someone who's unwilling/unable to do same. =/

That's the only thing you know how to do, nothing from you has ever made since.
