I do feel for eternalistT though, Fayta was out of line, but as most have said, you did set yourself up when you said you were in the military for another cheap comment to be said. Next time, if this happens, just take a breath, blist for a lil while and move on.

Your posts are the worst I have seen on QCDN. You try and make political statements in your broken English typing and are completely wrong. The United States as a super power has an obligation to give aide and military presence all around the world. The US is the biggest consumer of natural resources in the world, we have US business all over that need stability to survive, and we(the US) gave the world a promise after WWII. When shit hits the fan around the world, where does the world look? Granted the US does not always make the best foreign policy decisions, but atleast the US tries to make a difference in the world. Unfortunately, most of these cultures hate us for reasons they do not even know. I won't even get into the fucking Muslims in the middle east - this is reason enough to buy a car with an alternative fuel source. They all hate the US but they all drink Coca-cola and listen to Michael Jackson and watch fucking Disney cartoons. What a fucking joke.

School is paid for upthrough 12th grade and the books are free in the US.
There is medical care from the government for some, but not for those who can provide for themselves.
There is, sadly, a very large welfare program that exists in the US wasting tax money.

Now please explain which wars Canada has prevented.

If you like Canada, Live in Canada - If you like the US, Live in the US. Yes I do have beefs with my neighbors to the south and I'm sure they have beefs with us, but I also have issues with my own Country and you guys are all stupid for arguing which is better.

Most of the people in this argument haven't even lived in both countries for an extended period of time and really have nothing but biased propaganda (on both sides) to base their arguments on. Yes I am proud to be Canadian, and I'm sure many of you are proud to be American - why can't you leave it at that?

Why exactly should anyone pay for healthcare? If i were to get hit by a bus tomorow, and ended up having to stay in the hospital for a week, i'd walk out of there not having had to pay a penny. And would have recieved all necesary treatment, not just to keep me alive, but so that i leave as healthy as possible. In the U.S.? I daresay what that would have cost. Broke my arm doing a stupid thing on a snowboard (true story)? Show up in the Emergency room, sign in, get treated, out in a few hours. 0$

Theres also in most states programs where people on welfare are required to work at certain places or they dont recieve that welfare money. Often times at less that what that job would have paid in the first place.
Here, you're required to be activly looking for work if you're of able body, and we help you to find a job to get you off welfare.0
