What do you think the best represented job in Quetzalcoatl is? By best represented, I don't mean most popular. I mean, which have you had the overall best experience with? Some jobs have a reputation of being highly populated with noobs. Which job do you think for example, has the least? Is there any one job that you think tends to weed out the unskilled moreso than others? A job that if invited, stands a better chance of being competent than other jobs? Since this isn't in the flame board, and I don't want to insult anyone's job, I'll just leave the topic to the positives.

I've always been pleasantly suprised with post-50 Warriors.

I would say BRD, if you play acc and att songs the melee are happy, play ballad mages happy, finale when needed and you are "done"

I quoted done because, lets face it, how many of actually know what the rest of a brds songs do?

By doing those three things you keep the party happy. And most of the time, brd is played by people who have already leveled a few jobs, therefore know the dynamics and can figure out what other songs to play when.

Never had a bad experience with a bard, there aren't that many. I did see a rank 6 brd/nin in garlaige citadel once. Now usually i would consider asking people not in my group about thier sub preference, but i really had to ask, he said his mage jobs were underleveled. Other than that all the bards i've xp;d with have been great.

I'd say the most effectively done job on our server overall is BLM, I rarely party with a BLM that is poor at their job. Most use quality control of MP and such.

Also, if I don't notice the RDM in my party, it's because he's not screwing up. And that's always a good thing.

word up to bard. overall i'd probably say bst but since they have a bad rep for stealing the exp mobs bard is definately it...

I would have to disagree with brd because many I party with are lazy. They refuse to put foward the effort to keep ballad on a pld tank when there is no rdm present. The downtime this causes is so frustrating and shouldn't happen 70+. :?

Job I've ran into the fewest noobs with would be rng. Still a few exceptions, but for the most good experiences.

that would be the brd and pld's fault there. Pld should always fight at the same spot, where the brd can hit him witlh ballad. and the bard should tell that pld where the spot is.

Ummm, I've ran into a lot of bad Rangers. Partied with one tonight on that matter who was particularly bad. After each pull, he would run back to the camp and stand there until it was half dead. He wouldn't melee it to gain TP either. And he was subbing (get this) Monk. Didn't know it because he was /anon, but he was boosting like a pro.

After each kill, he would stand there for 20 ~ 25 seconds, doing nothing. The party leader got so frustrated that he said "Screw it I'm pulling" and went to pull. About 10 seconds later the leader in macro says "Pulling Yhoator Mandragora <call>" and then the ranger takes off. I'm like... wtf? Sure enough, the ranger comes back with a Goblin Pathfinder.

Hee hee.... thats a flame, isn't it? Sorry...

Anyways... I think the best job represented is Bard, without a doubt. And the best ones I've had the pleasure of partying with have been Andreva and Rones. Honourable mention goes to Sukersol too. Jp player willing to throw fireworks whenever you gain a level. :)

Sadly yes - brd can be a 'quick ticket to 75' it seems :(

best represented are probably ninja and ranger.

i guess it depends on who it is, ive ptd with REAL bad bards and real bad ninjas who culdnt keep hate from a drain 1/2 way thry the battle lol

but id say either BRD or blm :)

..

personally i think RDM is a quick ticket to 75.. along with BRD a close second.. simply because most parties cant function well without either once they get refresh and dispel..

as far as the best played jobs i think most BLM on our server are pretty good.. they keep their mana reserves pretty good and still tend to dish it out somehow lol.. i've made some parties with 2 BLM's and no RDM/BRD.. and the BLM's still never ran out of MP..

also i think most of the BST's on our server are nice and do their jobs well.. they also dont mind helping novice BST's ^^ (bst is fun try it if you havnt)

..another job i dont think is very good.. well.. specifically.. Japanese Tarutaru Ninjas.. i refuse to PT with any of them.. they never have +enmity.. they never use elemental ninjutsu to hold hate.. and even with SATA they always lose it.. and it flat out ticks me off lol.. 'Nibble hits the enemy for 600 dmg'~'a dragoon uses Jump for 300 dmg'~'the dragoon takes 90 dmg from the enemies attack because the ninja cant hold hate'..... thats just insulting to me.. to have someone i use SATA on lose hate to less dmg than my SATA.. -.- anywho........

Best represented? Like Cubs, I've continually been impressed with the WAR's I party with. Those guys are just rock solid DD's and tend to be good people on top of it.

I can't speak so much for the mage jobs. I tend not to notice them unless I have specific reason to.

--mini-rant--

I'd just like to say I think Ranger has the worst reputation at the current time on our server. Or at least it's the job I'm the most disappointed with. People aren't inviting us to parties to be mediocre. I'll take any other available DD over a mediocre Ranger. We get the fast invites because we are damage factories. Or at least we're supposed to be. Every party I go into, I make it my mission to be the best I can be in order to hopefully make 5 other people nod affirmatively at my job after our time together.

I partied with another "/sigh Ranger" not too long ago who was using their AF bow for a large portion of the party, then switched to the Musketeer Gun +1 with regular bullets (not silver) near the end. My base crossbow damage without holy effect was outdamaging it. This was a level 60 Ranger. Add this to the assish gear wearing people like Jajaja and the respect of my job has gone straight to shit in my opinion.

Summoners tend to overachieve when I invite em, so I'll say summoner.

I'd have to agree with blm post 50. Only once did a blm I was grouping with post 50 not have the ice and dark staves, some gimp elvaan using a club in gustav. Not all but a decent portion has had staves other than ice and dark, and we some really well known high lvl blms with many or all HQ staves.

Honorable mention to ninja and monk

As far poorly played jobs...Definitely wars pre 40, first timers are lured to this job as a first, especially ones not using axes and GAXs. And if you consider yourself a good war pre 40, it helps to mention you're using axe or GAX in your search comment so people will relieze you're not a newbie. The only good exception I can think of is polearm so they can SC with thfs, in for example a to 37 and stop static.

Dishonorable mentions- Thfs pre 40, drks pre 40.

-Most WARs (and I stress the 'most') I see nowadays are good.

-I rarely ever PT with MNKs, but when I do it seems they always rock. :)

-Sadly, most THFs I see just plain suck, or are mediocre at best. x.x It gives the rest of us a bad reputation. ; ;

-I've seen far too many gimp BLMs for my liking. :?

-Most WHMs I've PTed with have been good. Some of them even manage to Haste me.

-I've seen plenty of gimp RDMs, but plenty of good ones too.

-I've seen so many horrible PLDs that it makes me cry. ;_;

-A fair deal of the DRKs I've PTed with have been pretty good, to tell you the truth. I don't remember the last time I had a bad DRK.

-I've seen some bad DRGs, but they are mostly pretty good. If only they could park their wyvern to the side or something so it doesn't get in my way when I try to SATA off them mid-battle...

-Most SAMs I've PTed with have been quite good, too. :)

-I've had a few crappy NINs, but some of the best players I've ever PTed with have also been NINs, so I think it kinda balances out.

-I rarely see a crappy RNG.

- <3 BST ;)

-In the lower levels I've seen a billion gimp, crappy, n00b SMNs, but in the higher levels I've only seen maybe one or two. I <3 SMNs. :)

-Truth be told, every PT I can remember ever being in that had a BRD has rocked.
