Best Represented Job in Quetzalcoatl

I'll probably vote Beastmaster here. This job weeds out the incompetent faster than any party based job. Beastmasters can't really leech exp off of others' hard work, so they either have what it takes, or stop at level 15. I myself didn't have what it takes - all the dying drove me insane. Even with +1 gear, Beastmaster weeded me out. Only the most deserving progress in this job.

I've never been able to understand the poor paladins... Its not exactly hard to keep hate or anything. Paladin is definitely not a fast ticket to 75 either. Makes me wonder how anyone can just keep going on for slow ass exp like that with a PLD. Oh well heres at least one pld you dont have to worry about (all humbleness included O.o o.O)

I have had the pleasure of working with some stellar BSTs. I think since you are totally self reliant, most post-40 Beastmasters are pretty good. The most skill i've seen is when a BST disarm a 4 (or more) link fest. Controlled chaos.... :)

Well I am gonna go with my job "RANGER", I bust my ass in and out whenever I party regardless of what is asked of me. Those have partied with me know that I work my ass off to get the job done period. May not have that damn E. Bow or that O.bow yet but in time will, just watch out cuz Daballer is just getting started  ......Muuuaaahhhaaaaaa!!!

I'd have to say Dragoon, but you all knew that lol

Why?

How many of us do you see 65+ compared to other jobs? Then again, when you see two of us at the same time, and just the small salute we give each other before going on our way, doesn't that make you feel happy inside? lol I personally love the honor between Dragoons. It is basically never seen between two other jobs. I don't think I've ever seen two White Mages or two Samurai cross paths, salute each other, then keep running. The higher I level into Dragoon, the more I realize ... our numbers are few, and I am one of those still left standing.

Oh, and did I mention we are sexy as hell? :D

/em gives self props to Eleibfrid and myself for rocking the Assault Jerkins and oversexifying Lower Jeuno.

I've always been pleasantly suprised with post-50 Warriors.

I couldn't say for sure, but most of the Warriors I have seen 40+ have been pretty badass by comparison to other melee.

Also, I swear it's a prerequisite to have fenrir these days. Half the SMN seem to have him...

It's nice to see war's reputation getting better; the job's been recovering from the "sub-job only" topic for longer than I've been playing.

As far as best rep'd job, I would have to say that I've been continually impressed by nin and rng. There will always be the cheapskate jerks with crappy gear and no skill that ride their exp on the fame of the job, but aside from them I have respect for anyone that can spend that much freakin money every time they go to meet their party (and it seems that every rng I've partied with in the past couple months is using sole +1) without batting an eyelash, knowing full well that their gil is benefitting 5 people who they likely don't know at all. Granted that goes for any job, but these two are much deeper in the spending boat than most other jobs.

Couldn't disagree more. Too many Ninja's I've played with think that Shihei and Tonko are the only tools available and couldn't keep hate if I convinced the mob that the Nin had nailed both his sister and mama on a saturday night. Of course this is post Ni. Pre-Ni, I understand not wanting hate to be plastered on you.

As for the topic, overall probably Brd.

NIN can be good or bad. The bad ones translate to being REALLY bad for the party, compared to a bad RNG or WAR. A bad NIN will completely ruin the flow of the group.

A good NIN though...Now that has my vote. :D

The infamous triple post.

Would have to say Monk. Have been using them since about mid 50 a lot, and I still get surprised when I see 2 criticals in a row for 90ish damage. Have yet to see one with even mediocre gear, all are flaunting what they got. Subbed war they are incredible, hitting 3-4-5 times a round for 40ish damage. Just wow.

Close second is Ranger. Almost EVERY Ranger I have partied with in a long time has handled their business. I havent seen these GIMP Rangers I guess. Special mention to Germ and Aldowin. These were part of that sexy 9.5k an hour party, and have played with them a few other times.

I just spent a lot of time in Yhoater. Good Dragoons, good Dark Knights, good Samerai, one Thief doing pretty good.

Counting me and the one other Warrior I saw hanging around damned good Warriors too. *The first three is PLURAL!*

Some gimpy Rng, Pld, Nin, Rdm, Blm, Whm... kept them the %^*# out of my parties.

Xp was slow, but it wasn't the fault of the melee. Well equiped pt of:

- Pld/War *Least gimpiest there. I'd say actually decent.*
- Drg/War *Nice~B-Gloves, B-Rings, B-Earrings,and Platoon Lance nice.*
- Sam/War *Good gear, good dmg. JP*
- Drk/War *Ditto*
- War/Thf *I'm glad I had Esin to swap out with my DD gear.*
- Blm/Whm *Main healed AND bursted both skillchains. Booya!*

Ps- Mandy Zonk-ga sucks.

I don't understand the whole "Nin is best" side here because the one's I've ever pt'd with (with few exceptions and the notables like Vang) have made me wonder how there even is a PLD vs. NIN debate at all unless the Ni spells make them actually hold hate for more than a quarter of the battle.... Not even SATA can hold up on a NIN the way it can on a PLD. BST definately isn't best just because 90% of my experience with them has been them "accidentally" (maybe yes, maybe no) MPK'ing parties in Garlaige Citadel, though they do tend to give away the coffer key drops they get which is nice for the jobs that need em.
