Seahawks 2 minute offense was horrible(twice). DJack could have had a touchdown if he had gotten his feet down in the endzone(not out of bounds). 2 missed field goals. Jerramy Stevens fumble that was called an incomplete pass could have setup(or been) another touchdown. The Steelers were not given the game by anyone except the Seahawks. Hell look at the bad/non calls that went against the Steelers. The Jerramy Stevens fumble/inc. The Helmet to Helmet no call on SEA CB against Hines Ward(not the one that the ref picked up). Ben getting blocked in the back after throwing an INT.
The officiating was sub par indeed but to say they were biased towards the Steelers is ridiculous.
Not that any of this matters anyway.
Ben had a legit chance of getting the guy that intercepted the ball, and yet him being pushed from behind wasn't called, good point.
The QB sneak looked fine to me. They froze the picture of where ben was at his farthest out point forward with his arm with the ball in hand was extended.
I don't know what game some you were watching...But the freaking showed it in slow motion and froze it several times. Doesn't take a smart person to draw a line down either in their mind or on paper/screen from the tip of the football at its most forward point. And from there to determine the tip of the ball was easily about halfway over the white line, and therefore clearly over the plane.
At least your other complaints are matters of opinion, the QB sneak TD is easily provable. Like I said, look were the tip of the football is at its farthest point, clearly notice how it's in the white line zone...AND THEREFORE A TD AND PROVABLE.
Now onto opinions.
-I feel the offensive pass interference TD call was justified.
He clearly pushed off the defender with two hands. Infact offensive pass interference is way more common than most think. Most recievers are not big enough boneheads to make it so obvious. There was a cowboys-vikings game in the 70s I believe were the vikings were robbed from a trip to the superbowl. The cowboys receiver pushed the viking guy who clearly had good position on the receiver, made the catch, and won cowboys the game. No offensive pass interference was called, so the Cowboys robbed the Vikings of a trip to the superbowl.
The NFL has learned from 'some' past mistakes over the years so they wouldn't be normal occurances.
And for the record, an angry fan threw a whiskey bottle at the REF's head that didn't call that PI. Infact the Vikings offered season tickets for life to whoever turned the guy in; no one turned him in. The NFL doesn't want those kind of problems to happen again.
I think the penalty where hassleback got in trouble for hitting the blocker was indeed a load of crap. I won't argue this one. The steelers moved down the field easily anyway though. If the seattlers played good football and got a TD or FG instead of intercepting the ball, would this problem have even occured? No
The holding call, I won't disagree with that one either. Sometimes players get caught, sometimes they don't.
Simply put, seattle didn't play the game they needed to play to beat the steelers. That wasn't the best game the steelers played by a long shot, and seattle could've taken advantage of that if they actually played decently.
I'm far from a stealers fan; I've been a vikings fan since I could remember @ 3 or 4 years old. But the steelers have my respect this year. They were in the playoffs long before any team. They 'had' to win their last 4 games just to make the playoffs and as a 6th seed none the less. Then they beat the 3,1,2,1 seeds to win it all...Absolutely crazy. They've been in the playoffs in a sense since week 14.
The superbowl is not even a game anymore anyway. It's a big stupid show now that means less and less with every year.
