Bill Cower and the "Stealers"

That was the worst officiated game I have saw in quiet sometime. It almost looked as if the Steelers bought that one. I was rooting for the Steelers just because I wanted Bettis to get a Superbowl win before he retired. HE deserves it for his dedication to the Steelers and putting up with them through thick and thin. Good guy, glad to see him get a win...On the other hand I hate ROFLburger (to quote Garvin) and would rather have saw him choke on some mashed potatoes than ever win a Superbowl. Had Bettis not been there I'd have loved to see the Seahawks pull it out. Bettis has the officials to thank for his win...

Shaidalyn it's fairly obvious that you don't know the rules. If a call is made on the field that is questionable within the last 2 minutes of the half/game it is reviewed. If there is not enough evidence to overturn the call it stands. The refs did not see enough eveidence. Case closed.

BTW if the Seahawks wanted to win they shouldn't have thrown to that Soft first round bust Jerramy Stevens. Soft!

Stevens.. the guy who let 3 or 4 passes bounce off his hands? yeah.. nice playing. It's the superbowl, he was scared witless. He will become a great WR but ... kinda green to be expected to perform very well.

And I know the rules, they were reviewed, it was obvious. I was watching with friends on a 60" High def (damn them) and you could damn near see the grass bend as he landed. :p It was not a TD. This is like the Tuck Rule all over again, bad officiating.. but.. whatever.

Cant overturn a call without conclusive evidence. You couldnt tell if the tip of the ball broke the plane or not so they couldnt overturn it.

Seattle fans should definitely NOT blame the refs, and blame their own boneheaded team. I mean come on! After that PI call in the endzone, it's 1st and 20. What do they do? They run the ball on first down for very few yards, then run it AGAIN on second down to put yourself in a 3rd and 18 hole. Then instead of making a few yards to make it a more manageable FG, they decide to go for the endzone, forcing the kicker to make a very long fieldgoal.

Then the end of the half was a disaster. First they should of had a TD on the long pass done the right side, but the reciever was just too damn lazy to get both feet in bounds. It was a great pass, and the receiver could definitely have gotten both feet in, but he was just lazy. It's the difference between a mundane reciever and a good reciever.

THEN, I have absolutely NO CLUE what in the hell they were doing on their drive at the end of the first half. Let's call TO with just under a minute to go, run a nothing play, then fuck around and try to call an audible as precious seconds run off the clock. At the LEAST they had plenty of time and could have EASILY gotten into FG range as PITT was playing a prevent. Nope, they just screwed around, were forced to try a 55 yard FG (which was missed).

I blame Holgren completely. Did you see the halftime interview? She asked him what happened on that last drive, and his answer was bitching about the BigBen TD sneak! Get your head out of your ass you big dumb fuck! If you had been COACHING your team instead of stewin over the past, perhaps the game is 7-6, or maybe even 10-7!

Then they just came out flat in the second half. The Hasselback INT was priceless. Instead of being mad that he threw an INT, he goes over and reviews pictures of his tackle. Real nice there. The end of the game was more of the same as the end of the first half. I mean, you get the ball at your 30 with just over 4 minutes to go, knowing you need 2 scores, and you use all the time but 3 seconds and only move the ball 40 yards against a prevent defense? Just disgraceful.

That is the difference between the steelers and the seahawks. The steelers had it far far worse against the colts and they won the game. Questionable calls aside, this game was there for the seahawks to win, but it was poor execution and coaching that got in the way, not the officials.

Oh and FYI...When you push off of the defender to catch a ball that is an illegal play and will be brought back 100% of the time. To tell the truth though AFC owns the Superbowl. Any team from the AFC that made it into that game would of won. Seattle is weak, just face it and move on.

Everyone knows lesbians don't play video games!

I'm a lesbian too, just my strap on was factory installed!

This is definitely one of the funniest threads I've read in a long time. XD

Does anyone recall the even worse officiating in the Steelers v. Colts playoff game? And yet after all the bad calls against Pittsburgh we still won. Wasn't a safety? The ball was over the line when Manning went down. Wasn't a TD? The ball was on the line (all that counts) when Roethlisberger went down. Catch, roll, roll, get up, run, fumble, fall on it... nope, not an interception. Shoving the defender away from you with a fully extended arm... nope, not pass interference.

Nobody in the NFL wanted the Steelers in the Super Bowl. Nobody. But we made it, on the road the whole way. The Steelers were hated every step of the way until we made it, then we're a crowd favorite and now we're hated for that.

Well I'm sorry Peyton Manning didn't make it to the Super Bowl this year. I'm sorry the Pats didn't win another one. I'm sorry Pittsburgh fought tooth and nail since December and did the impossible with eveyone rooting against them.

Were there bad calls? Of course, in this game and in many others this season. Did it rob the game from anyone? No. Get over it.

Same. On another note, Rhyan is our resident emocore, and therefore lacks a large amount of creibility.

Holy hell. Board lesbian posts a football thread and the threadstalking homophobes come out of the woodwork to cross-thread flame about things that have NOTHING to do at all with the original topic. Stop flaming the person and address the issue of the flame - the fucking steelers not winning by 5 points so that I would have won my LS's betting pool. /cry. lost 100k :(

And seriously, rhayan or whatever, think before your post so that you can put the next 30 seconds of typing in one window instead of 3-4.

I don't see why it's "green" to expect the guy to do well. He's a 4th year WR and guaranteed his team would win.

Dear God, and I thought the old lady across the street was bad.

Look the seahawks weren't your team... nor did you have like $1000 riding on this game so just let it go.
