Ok, saw no thread for the game. Now there is one. This is sure GOTY
contender.
Demo is out on XBOX Live!
Developer: Irrational Games(System Shock 2)
Publisher: 2K Games
Release: 8/21/07 YES!
Platform: XBOX360, PC
Story: The game takes place in an underwater city named Rapture. Surviving a plane crash at the beginning of the game you find your way to this lost city, a decrepit and crumbling shadow of its former self. The ocean is reclaiming the space, and the inhabitants have turned into bloodthirsty mutants. During the course of the game you uncover how Rapture fell from its grace of a 1940s Utopian dream to the current nightmare.

This game is deep in story, moral choices and incredible combat.

~Biologically mod your body: Plasmids are genetic augmentations that empower you with dozens of fantastic abilities. Send Electrobolts storming from your fingertips, unleash a swarm of hornets hatched from the veins of your arms, strategically turn enemies against one another with irritants.

~Take control of your world: Hack devices and systems to reprogram enemy security bots into personal bodyguards, modify vending machines to change prices, and transform machine gun security turrets into powerless pieces of metal.

~Upgrade your weapons: Look for Fire-For-Effect stations located through Rapture. Craft variants of ammo and plasmids by picking up materials in the city to modify them at U-Invent kiosks.

~Experiment with battle techniques: With BioShock’s free-form combat options, gameplay scenarios can be approached with a variety of weapons, active and passive plasmids, environmental objects utilization, exploitation of political alliances, or a combination of techniques. Find your style but know when to adapt.

~Explore an incredible world: The unique art deco world hidden deep under the ocean is vividly illustrated with realistic water effects and truly next generation graphics.
Make meaningful decisions: Do you exploit the innocent survivors of Rapture to save yourself … or risk all to become their savior?

The game has been reviewed by several magazines so far. Most scores are 10/10. Only mag to not give it 10/10 was PCmag which game it 96/100. Mind you the only other game they ever gave a score that high was HalfLife2. I am posting some links to videos of gameplay.

Too bad it has absolutely zero marketing, so its sales aren't going to be too great =/

Deserves more then its marketed at, i agree skaw. I think it might sell well tho. Many 360 owners are aware of it. With the fighting over exclusives in console gaming this gen, this is one game 360 owners defend their purchase of a 360 on. Well at least i do. Cant wait for it.

Would be huge posative for PS3 owners. There is big announcement tonight about the game. lol at big announcements lately tho... But anyways could be PS3 version. Could be alot other things also, well see.

ive been awaiting this game as the last month or so has been dry with releases, nothing special or that great to play as ive already completed the darkness several times and overlord once.
ive watched a few videos here and there of this game, i cant really say what i expect from it. its odd looking and not too attention grabbing yet, but it still looks to be fun.

No... You must be a liar... Omg i am gonna hurt myself...

Omg, it's no lie, the demo is out. This just made my day.

yeah im downloading it now, so im waiting on wow till then.
Then i gotta complete and delete because eternal sonata demo is out and i dont have enough space for both lol.

You are probably right Fire. And thank you Chas... Downloading now.

This game is great from just a demo so far. I did not expect the visuals to be this good. I believe its the best visual experience so far. The lighting, water and just whole setting is pretty incredible. Gameplay solid just from a demo. Cant wait till its released..

lol I dunno whats wrong but I've been downloading it for the past 8 hours.
The game is massive. >_>;;
And I really wanna play it.

Probably every Xbox owner with online is trying to download also;; It was a while for me to download also.

yeah took me hours to download, but was soooo worth it, i love the atmosphere of the game. it just has this creepy feeling to it, like something this massive was hidden from the surface for so long and because so corrupted. amazing.

Yeah Live was swamped last night. I started it up and after an hour I was at 5%. I left the unit on over night to finish the d/l. I am not a FPS fan but I must admit I am kind of geeked to get home and play the demo.

Great demo. Too bad they only give you two plasmids, though.
