Weren't you the one who insisted that a THF using TA and whoever they're tricking had to be behind the mob?

QUALITY MEMBERS OF THEFLOCK.

Oh look, see how I brought a LS into something pointlessly? Someone else was after the same thing as you, get used to it.

-.- For sata before 60 you do need to be behind the mob

THF---> TANK---> MOB---> <---DD

Thats SATA

Unless thats changed

I dont know why it came up but he said "ta" not "sata" , Ta can be from behind any person at any view of the mob, although I dont know why you would do this pre-60

On the OP, It is pretty shitty that they would do this when theres lots of places to farm but by the same right, why did your friend feel the need to call in reinforcements instead of moving to the two uncamped areas?

Aside from his personal dilemma, it seems pretty shitty of him to ask you to come out when he couldve changed map locations.

Its like eating alone at a table for 10 and throwing a fit when the waiter wants to put a bigger party there, and instead of moving you invite your friends just to keep the table when theres plenty of other empty tables all around you.

I'm so glad I blisted carmencita a long long time ago. I see it was worth the effort.

A reply on behalf of BKs Linkshell;

My in game name is Carmencita and i wish to address what i was told the leader of this Ls , So if Sirtenzan is the leader of this shell and wishes to content me about anything said here i am welcome

Ok this flame starts with me logging on and saying hello to a friend. He is currently level 49 samurai named Drakhen and as many of you know that job can be a little pricey to level so he is trying to farm up some extra gil in order to buy his new great katana at 50.
Give you a guess where he was farming , Thats right the Drama central the marshlands NM Leach spawn

So he gets there and there is only one person named "Dragonar" LFG and afk .. Seeing how all the crawlers and leaches are spawned drakhen starts killing them and making his stacks when About 30 minutes later (Dragonar has still not moved) a galka ranger named "Vali" comes in and starts following drakhen around and stealing the kills with his boomerang

Being that his Katana is so slow he can pull it out and stand there for just long enough to get the leach/crawler stole from him by the ranger when there is so many more ..he was stalking

Drakhen called for help in the ls wondering if anyone can come and help him farm and so i answered and came right out on my Beastmaster 64 and charm/pull and tried to take as many kills away as i could so drakhen could at least get some, I don't mind helping my friend and its not to much of a problem so it was fun .. But this ranger didn't stop and even snagged a few from me during this time , What is more funny is when Dragonar finally gets back and starts killing things as well

Waits its not done , Another member of this ls comes in by the name of Terminal 75 sam and starts taking kills as well .. So for a 49 sam who couldn't get claim to fast anyways and a 64 beast who could only snag a few out of the many they called in 2 level 75s and dragonor who is a 50 something if i recall ... There attitude was very poor as well saying that well its TS for him he should be able to claim faster next time and were laughing at it ...

Now i am only 64 , but i think there are far better spots for 2 75s to farm at no?

There attitude and there stealing from a 49 makes them a very poor player in my eyes and i want to warn others of there actions in hopes it happens to them so they can see how it feels to be forced from a spawn like that

Drakhen was more then willing to share that spawn, he has in the past so i don't see why they couldn't use all that 75 power and just move to another one or at least farm something better

Hello Carmencita,

I am the Sirtenzan you alluded towards at the beginning of your' post, and am in fact the shellholder of BlackKnights Linkshell, a shell run democratically by a number of Captains.

We are a shell composed of members as young as 14 and as old as 57, with some who don't have their subjob yet and others who have multiple 75 jobs. While I cannot speak intelligently in regards to the exact circumstances that occurred in Pashhow Marshlands on or around December 26th, I can speak on behalf of our LS members and their reputations.

We are a shell who prides ourselves on the fact that we help each other out whenever possible. If someone needs help with a mission, quest, or AF piece we jump to help. If someone's shy on gil, we'll band together and launch a farming raid on an area. If someone needs an NM drop, we'll launch an LS NM camp. If someone needs a raise in the far corner of Abdhaljs Isle - Purgonorgo or in Mount Zhayolm, we'll come out to raise. We are a tightly knit linkshell. We help each other - BUT - we also help others when in need, often going out of our way to do so.

By the standard that our LS holds, I find it difficult to believe that Vali was purposefully following your' friend Drakhen to steal his kills. I have only just gotten finished conversing with him on the matter, and he admits, that he crossed paths numerous times with Drakhen during his farming endeavours there that day - but that he was NOT purposefully stalking him or stealing his kills. Dragonar's presense in Pashhow Marshlands doesn't surprise me either, as he farms there regularly. Yes he was AFK, temporarily, taking a break from the game to tend to some mundane RL activity before returning to his farming. Once he returned, he started up again. No harm done.

This is where Vali's version and your' own version of the events that transpired differ;

* You claim that Vali was stalking Drakhen and stealing his kills, via boomerang, a weapon that isn't terribly fast on the draw - but still fast compared with a Great Katana, I concede to that point.

* Vali meanwhile claims that at some point, at which he crossed paths with Drakhen, YOU began to follow him and charm claim the mobs he was targeting.

* As for the presense of Terminal, that is quite easy to explain. Terminal, like myself, tends to farm low value, high quantity gil gathering wares, such as beehive chips and honey. Terminal's presense in Pashhow Marshlands at that time was precisely for that reason at that particular time. He did not join in the merry fray until Vali reported to him that you were charm claiming the mobs he was targeting.

I cannot claim that Vali's story is entirely accurate or the entire truth, just the same as I cannot read your' words and take them as gospel. I simply was not there. By reputation I can say that I wouldn't imagine Vali purposefully stalking Drakhen - but I cannot base a solid and concise judgement based upon that alone.

I have spoken with Vali however in regards to this matter, and asked that he pay particularly close attention when farming in such heavily farmed zones like Pashhow Marshlands, to make sure he's not attacking something someone else is targeting.

Meanwhile, I have a couple of suggestions to make that might have made the situation less confrontational and less competetive.

Firstly, why didn't your' friend arrange a deal to where he would cover the southern half of the map and Vali could take the North side of the map?

If failing that, why not team up? Share in the drops, and split up what is gathered in the end, based off of what the going rates are. If you walked out with a stack of blood, three stacks of chips, and a stack of silk - one could take the blood, and the other could take the three stacks of lower valued items.

On another note, why oh why does everyone INSIST upon farming that zone?! There are tons of other perfectly fine areas for farming. I myself am a level 64 PLD and you will seldom see me farming anywhere but in East Sarutabaruta and the Outer Horutoto Ruins. I get tons of chips, honey, silk, and onions - and am able to throw a cure, protect, and shell here and there to the people who are leveling. (Mind you, I watch to make certain I'm not attacking something that these people are obviously leveling on.) Another good area is the entrance to Attohwa Chasm, killing Hecteyes for Mercury and their eyes (creepy, but, saleworthy). I use it as an alternate site for when I'm bored of my farming track in Saru. Another good area is Jugner Forest for Tiger Teeth. Yet another is Coeurl meat, hide, and whiskers in NE Meriphitaud Mountains - and the flies in that same zone drop Gausebit Grass like crazy. At level 50 he can even try to compete with some of the 75 THFs that prefer Sauromauge Champaign farming for Cockitrice Meat, Skin, Giant Feathers, the afformentioned Coeurl goods, and raptor hides from the Skinks.

In summary, it is tragic that you had to develop a negative opinion of BlackKnights Linkshell because of this chance encounter. We really are NOT a band of pirates (No offense intended to the Crimsonpirates LS!) who are out to cause havoc for anyone. Simply put all of this could have been avoided, flame and all, with a simple and polite conversation between Drakhen and Vali.

In the future, I ask, that anyone who has a complaint or concern regarding BlackKnights Linkshell or our members address them directly to me or to one of my Captains, namely Roaks, Andrei, Jobe, Shortpyro, Erikusan, Karlik, or Alekysis.

Sincerely,

Sirtenzan
Shellholder of BlackKnights Linkshell, Quetzalcoatl Server

Well, there's your problem right there! Just light him on fire and punt him out!

Ugh, short counter-attacks > long winded defenses >.<

As a member of the Black Knights as well, I confirm that usually our LS will farm in groups to help people. Obviously this game involves competition, so the more farming with you, the more money you'll make. It's nothing against what happened to you and your friend.

As Sirtenzan said, it's nothing personal against those people. It's just the guild farms for it's members and for the Guild Bank.
