There can't be fame if people don't buy and put out the music. If no one's buying it, it wouldn't stay around.

Fact: More white ppl buy hip-hop and rap records then black ppl. Not talking about % of the population, but just sheer, gross number.

Fact: The great majority of rap labels are only subsidiary companies of larger organizations like Time Warner is over Death Row. If it's selling why would they change. Don't blame the artists alone, blame the buyers, and companies getting rich of them too. They have far more control over what gets put out.

Only reason white people are buying the albums more is because black people steal them.

I figured since you were just gonna make shit up and pretend it's fact, I might as well too. If you have some kinda "source" for your information, go ahead and post it, because I have never heard anything reguarding the racial buying patterns of people in reguards to music.

I think, out of fairness, we should enslave rappers for 2 years prior to them being allowed to sign with a label. That way, they will actually have something legitimate to bitch about.

All people are the same.

Culture is different. It just so happens that a lot of people that are the same race have the same cultural background.

If you are going to stereotype people, do it by culture.

Culture including the Financial/Moral/Educational background of your parents. Cultures are passed down through the generations by parents. That's why it seems like it's related to a persons race.

A black guy is not a ******. A poor uneducated person with low moral standards is a ******.

Financial background enters into this the least in my opinion. However sometimes one is the cause of the other. Perhaps you are poor because you are uneducated, perhaps you are uneducated because you are poor. (the "You" in this paragraph is generic, I'm not tryin to call anyone out here)

Reguardless, my point is this: You can't judge a person from what they look like. I agree with the original poster that saying "Szechuan Chicken" instead of "Thanks" wasn't the proper way to act. However, coming here and flaming this guy that is described only as "A black Guy" is more racist the the event that spawned the 12 pages of filth you see now.

What the black guy did was no different than saying "Pepperoni Pizza" to a pizza delivery guy. For all you know, the black guy could have ordered some Szechuan Chicken and wanted to know if that was it.

There's more white people than black people.. a hell of a lot more.
Go off %, gross number is stupid. That's like saying there are more white people on welfare than any individual minority. Duh, there's a LOT more white people.
Compare %.. what PERCENT of white people bought the records? (as what % are on welfare)
now factor in each individual minority....

Sorry to kill your point (/'-')/

sorry for double post, but that was really well said.

Actually I interned at Sony Music while I was in college, and believe if a prodcut is being sold, demographics are being kept on it, music is no different.

And no you proved my point, non blacks complain so much about rap and hip hop being so bad, but they're the ones keeping it in business. The ones distributing it, and the ones making the most money off it.

couldn't name a good title, and i was in a rush lol

i should have make it more less offended title, but you know flameboard... can't edit ; ;

I could have just say "This person..." as a title

The fact that White people make up 75.% of our country where as Black people make up 12.3% has a lot to do with your arguement.

I even have a source for my numbers. You just claim yours to be true.

You need to work on that arguement a little bit before you continue down the road you're on.

12.3%??? o.O

I like in a heavily redneck area and I'd have to say that its atleast 50% here

And I live in Tennessee and didn't see a black person till I was almost 10 years old.

didn't go to elementry or middle school with any. Went to highschool with like 6 black People.

The numbers aren't guesses, that is info from the 2000 Census.

Here's one for you, I really don't feel like posting a bunch cause most pretty much have the same number. I just used this one because it had arguments for both sides so not to seem biased.

This and the fact that most hip-hop labels like Rockerfeller, So SO Def, Death Row, Bad-Boy etc, are owned and distributed by larger labels like Jive, Time Warner who we can say don't have minority owners. THey could function long without these parent labels, ex. No Limit.

I just want ppl to stop putting all the blame on the artists. There would be no artists without someone to distribute them, and they would not distribute if ppl weren't buying. That's my point.

And parents need to start being parents and not blaming other things.. They need to tell their kids that the vast majority of the stuff they see in these videos and magazines is rented, yes rented, they don't own this stuff. Kids are trying to live lives of people who aren't living that life themselves.

Here's one more, pretty much says the same thing.

I'm done here though. This whole thread could have been avoided if the OP had just said I saw some guy. Same point, racism, and stereotyping is wrong in RL and in video games, without labeling any one race. That is the point I think was trying to be made in the first place. Which I agree with totally.

Does anyone who lived in an area there is like bearly any whites? lol

70% Orientals in my Area.

~5-6 black people per school,

I would say the Indian population is actually above the white population as well.

The Wall Street Journal actually wrote an article about the population in my area, stating how whites make up the minority to a great extent, and are actually being pushed out of town by Asian markets and businesses all the time.

There comes a point where embracing a culture changes from a hug to a strangle hold.

I gotta admit, I haven't lived in an area like So Cal, NYC, south Florida, etc where it's a real melting pot so my views and ideals are probably different from people who live there.

I'm used to putting up with rude white people. If I lived in an are where I was around and interacted with a lot of Asians and there would be rude ones among them so maybe I would start to view it as Asians being rude, not other people being rude.

Times definately are a changin when it comes to demographics. I'm too lazy to Google right now but I read that in the US all other races combined will be larger than whites population-wise in the not too distant future (I want to say 20-30 years, maybe less). With this whole immigration bill thing going down and all the talk of race these days it will be interesting to see what happens in the next 10 years.

PS: Dave Chappelle come back!!

Defiantely! I sometimes catch myself saying "some black dude" instead of just "some dude" even though the person's race really doesn't relate to the story I'm telling.

LOL its actually kinda hard to get too racist on people here. The biggest critics of asians are asians themselves. Everyone seems to agree Asians, or the far greater majority of them, are bad drivers. The auto insurance is actually higher here than surrounding counties because of it. >.<

Stereotypes exist because they've been prooven right so many times in the past. I like to call it an "Educated guess".

I can't count how many times the phrase "Some Asian dude in a minivan nearly plowed into me on the way over here."
