lol odon PC ffxi [too weak] you can download it i will find the files i had to in the end i got my US COP reg code but lost CDs in the post lucky blueninja gave me codes before sending it off ^.^ there is some site you can download ffxi for pc
 
I can make it look like my character has no head, so I'm sure I could make it appear to me that my clothcraft level is 120 if I was a big enough haxor, and I'm pretty sure vanaguide goes off what you see, not the server.

from what ive heard, it reads a file taht is somewhere in the ffxi folder that gives it the info. that file is refreshed constantly. if you over write the file, it will get overwritten again to what it actually is. the vanaguide sigs are installed on the computer, so no, there not coming only from an outside source. its actually a group of processes starting from reading the file in the ffxi folder, the exe file that is installed on your puter from vanaguide sends that info to the server taht you see when you check the properties of the sig.
 
yeah the .dat fiels are check every time you log on ffxi but you change them during playiggin ffxi lol
 
blazn, why dont you post a vanaguide sig anyways? you're free to hack into it and change it if you can, but post the damn thing!
 
you can easily change the vanadiel images without the server noticing. Since the server sends you the information, which your computer then saves, you could just change the information on your computer and the image will adjust according to it.

I'd love to see it show me as a 200 cloth crafter.

yes it does. it will tell location, job etc. check it for yourself
 
it doesn't change your .dat's, it changes your memory.

he probably got cheated. not hacked. alot of people hear about that happening often. in fact, i think someone i know did that to a gil seller. i dont remember what item, but they switched the item quick on em and the person didnt realize it

I dunno much about these things. But i think someone said it updates like every 45 seconds so the things you change would be overwritten? ;/

you just have to avoid to zone during that time. And if you have to, just close the tool and it won't update :P

And yes, it reads the .dat's, but the .dat's only contain game-related things like animations etc. It contains no character data what-so-ever. So its still wrong :P
 
So have we established yet that the only way for him to prove everything is to bazaar 5+ items from his list, or are you guys having fun with this pointless debate otherwise?

Obviously the way to prove anything is to hack a VanaGuide signature! Where were you the last 2 pages?
