Well the whole epic failure last time was from when Ulquiorra said he was number 4 and Ichigo just sat there dumbfounded, leaving himself wide open for an attack. Plus, from what the Grimmjow battle had shown, he can keep his mask on a little longer now, because the battle definately didn't last 11 seconds.

Don't forget the article Urahara left behind that Ukitake found. Although it doesn't really point to a clear "it was made for this reason alone", it's said to be used in recreatin' the Kings Key. It doesn't say whether or not that's the main reason for creating it but it's the only documentation he left behind on it. So the only reason, for sure, right now, of him makin' it would be to recreate the key. However, for what reason would that be necessary is a fun question to think about.

The only reason I think it has nothing to do with the Vizard is because he said he immediately sealed it. Immediately as in, right then and there after he made it. Unless he's lyin' it couldn't have possibly been to create/help them. Also remember, it had nothin' to do with Ichigo. Everything Ichigo has learned has been through a process just like everyone else. Him gettin' his powers to come out was through a known process, his Zanpakto retrieval was through the normal process, his Bankai was from a process, and his Hollowfication just seemed to be luck of the draw, for now. Since he's no different than anyone else (speed of learnin' isn't a factor), in terms of learnin' techniques, so-to-speak, I'd assume his mask situation is no different, if that makes sense to you.

right, I forgot about the kings key, but they, as you said, did not mention that was the reason for its creation.

And about Ichigo's hollow form. If the mask situation is no different than the rest of the shinigami learning bankai, why is everyone SO shocked and almost frightened when they see it? Don't forget, that the reason Ichigo has an inner hollow is because Urahara forced Ichigo into his shinigami form when he had lost his shinigami powers. What we know from the vizard is that they are shinigami that had hollow powers awakened. The way it read to me, was not that they sought out their inner hollow, but rather that it just manifested and they had to learn how to deal with it the best way they knew how.

Besides, Vizard seem to be the antithesis to the arrancar. Shinigami with hollow powers, that still have their shinigami side dominant. Inspite of the fact that Soul Society considers the vizard to be criminals, I think they will have a much larger role in this upcoming battle than anticipated. Since they are the antithesis to the arrancar and all :p

I hope that boob chick loses horribly, she's not even hot lol=/ Just her dogs poking under her I bet give her the powers she needs. I'm more interested in her brazillian fracio'n friend.

I for one am a little disappointed that the author didn't give Ichigo another training session with Zangetsu to *properly* use bankai to its fullest, he knows one move from Zangetsu and relies on his hollow form for more power. While the other captains can only use bankai to defeat opponents or in zaraki's case none at all, which makes me think that ichigo hasn't mastered bankai just achieved it and more comfortable with using it.

I think in the next few episodes we'll see if my theory about ichigo's hole is true and if it's still there

I didn't say it *wasn't* different. I was listing the consistent with the inconsistent variable at the end. Figured it would make sense but I guess not :/

If I'm rememberin' right everyone who can use Bankai have two special things they can do. Renji can shoot the beam from Zabi's mouth and detach/reattach the body, Byakuya's can be scattered like his Sakai and/or turned into the tunnel of swords dealio, etc. Ichigo has two things. He gets a boost in speed and strength and his Getsuga Tenshō like ability, Kuroi Getsuga in Bankai form, is a lot more beefier. His inner hollow helped him learn that one, if you remember right, and it could be called a "training lesson". So unless he has a third ability, he's usin' his Bankai at full potential at the moment.

Anyone interested in seeing Ichigo's dad (more then likely) Jumping into this fight ?

Bout time we saw a little more from him, aswell as Maybe Urahara using his Bankai.
 
kinda hoping that most of the captains are defeated so that aizen can go to soul society to find ichigo's dad and uruyu's dad waiting for them there

yeah I'd like to see more dealing with Ichigo's dad and mysterious Urahara :P Seems to me, that the two characters that act the strangest, may end up providing something interesting. Well, Urahara always provides interesting things, but I think you know what I mean.

Who's willing to bet that Soul Society called up Ichigo's dad as a part of the force against Aizen? ^^;

seeing as how his uniform appears to signify that he was either a captain or lieutenant at some point in time I wouldn't doubt that happening
 
I'm more interested in knowing how Ichigo's dad died, and how a Shinigami can get kids.

Well i am just guessing lol

he made an Inflatable gigai thing as well as the Hougokyou(sp?) so he has to rock lol
