BLM solo/duo

Any suggestions on solo spots for a 55 blm? My blm has been at 55 for months and months....just can't bring myself to seek on it. But if I could solo once in a while that would rock.
 
Hmm... might want to go /whm for stoneskin until I can get stoneskin with /rdm. I guess any of your highest tier nukes will work then. Thanks, I'll have to try it out tonight.
 
Yeah when you sleep something think about how it's going to be used. Sleep I probably best just to put the breaks on an enemy to nuke again, Sleep II for resting only.

Can also look into Goblin pets, I know you can chain the ones in Movopolis.

Sleep 1 is also great when a mob comes un-gravitied and is hot on your trail. Stun -> Sleep 1 has saved my life on numerous occasion. Stun -> Sleep 2 has gotton me killed due to casting time.
 
Actually that brings up another point, you will need to know when to take hits.

When I'm on NIN if I get hit with shadows down I'll let the mob hit me a 2nd time, then cast. A lot of people will get hit, start to spam their macro, start to cast and then get interrupted again, which means you're probably going to be hit a 3rd time.

Know how many hits you can take and don't be afraid to get smooshed down to 200 HP and pop off a successful spell that will save your ass.
 
Blm can't really afford to take extra hits...we're too squishy. Personally I try to get off something to save my ass before my stoneskin wears lol.
 
i learned that trick when i was noob BLM soloing even maches in tahrongy canyon :P. Cast right before you get hit and you will not be interrupted ( for short cast spells of course). this works with utsusemi.
 
Yeah aim to be hit around 20-25% Casting at the most and you wont get interrupted. This is especially important for Sleep.

Also, if you reach a dead end and the mob still needs to be kited, turn and run at it, and just before you're in range to get hit, cast stun and continue running. This should give you enough time to get past the mob.

Move to Archealogist's around 65ish or above.
Stoneskin >> Blink >> Nuke till you have > 100mp and then sleep II it, and rest till you can finish it off. With Sanction and Empress band I was pulling 580 per kill. 345exp with sanction and no ring. 60-72 can be soloed here very easily. Tried Manaburning Wamoura Princes at 70, and they resist way too much, it was faster soloing 6k an hour.
 
Anyone got any idea what I could solo on my RDM72? Or should I just hope for some nice melee burn parties to come along?
