A friend of mine is lvl 64 blm and is having trouble finding EXP parties. Any of you experienced BLMs out there know of any good soloing spots out there for this level? like monster's pets and whatnot... i don't really know enough about it to point them in the right direction

thanks!

I think 64 bibiki bay gob pets still work.
That they do, and it was one of the easiest, most laid-back soloing experiences I've ever had. There's two (I think) camps there that are viable for level 64, though I always held out for my favorite to open up: I believe it was at F4, and was a fairly isolated, narrow corridor between two cliff faces.

The rarab pet was very easy to pull.

There comes a point, however, where you'll be forced to either move on to the bat pets in Newton (or is it Oldton?) Movalpolos, which is much more difficult. It's either that, or the Qiqirn ranger-types out in Aht Urgahn. Aydeewa was a little-known secret when I was there, but passing through the Subterrane recently, I can see that it is now jam-packed.

Good luck to your friend ... black mages need not rely on anyone but themselves.

yea shes just had a really, really hard time find exp parties and doesnt really feel like attempting to start her own. I thought Bibiki would work and it is very simple. i dunno about Oldton/Newton tho, that place is a bish to navigate =x

oh well, thanks for the info, i'll be sure to relay it.

I soloed BLM from 59-73 with a little duo with Garvin from about 65-70. I killed the ranger type Quigrins(sp?) in Ayadawabreee subterrineanan ....yea. Off the top of my head I can't remember where the zone was but the room I killed them in was really cool looking. Huge square fountain like thing in the middle of the floor. You needed to walk down a VERY steep hill to get to it.

Im sorry I can't be more exact, I am at work atm and cant log in to check the POS marker for entrance.

Oh the XP was amazing too with a ring I was getting as much as 600+ xp a kill and was able to chain 2/3's solo in the low 60's alone.

For future reference,

http://ffxi.somepage.com/mobdb/list.php?search=goblin's.

BST, BLU, and BLM has an easy time on these. Probably other heavy DD jobs as well.

there is a golblin beastmaster in psoja 60 cap, goblin chirurgian or someting lol. its a good spot. after that get to Newton Movalpolos, the pets are levels 70-71, and die on a single flare, if your INT and elem is high enough. might want to wait 65 for those.

From 64-69 Qiqiran Enterpriser's in Aydeewa Subteranne would be a good target. Unlike most ranger type mobs, these do not approach you after 50% health. Instead they always stand at a distance and used ranged atks. The entrance at I-10 in Wajaom Woodlands is the one to use. There are 4 right after you zone in and can be chained to 3 after you get a rythym down. If you move in farther, past a couple of slimes there is another 3-4. This area is not the best because of possible links but it is doable if the first camp is taken.

From 69-72/73 the zone will stay the same but the target mob will be Qiqirn Archaeologist's.The entrance is at E-9 in Wajaom. RDM sub should be used if fighting these. This area should have 4-6 mobs for good chains. Although this mob is similiar to the Enterpriser's, it has a nasty habit of running for help. This is why gravity from /rdm is key. At 50-75% health they will run away from you and go find a buddy to come take care of you. It will then sit back and rest to full while you take on his friend and when it's health has recovered it will come back to fight again. With gravity they have a hard time running away faster than you can nuke them, and if you nuke them they will come back.

For best results blink and stoneskin(phalanx if /rdm) at the beginning of the fight and keep stoneskin up throughout the fight. You may need to sleep the mobs to reapply or rest at lower levels but it is worth it. Also, cast with your back to them as they have 2 gaze moves, one that terrorizes you(freezes you), and another that give you amnesia(can't use ja's)

A little long winded but I was down there from around 62-72 solo and duo and i know it's a good area. If you have any other questions about it shoot me a /tell.

Peace,
Shmed

Bibiki will give meh exp at 64. Aydeewa is your best bet until you can move on to the bigger mobs like flans or what have you. I recommend the rangers around the little BLU quest pool/pond/whatever. If you pull them to the pool, you'll be free of possible links and from what I recall, they don't run away and aggro the whole place.

Pso'xja is far too low for a level 60 BLM. It's an awesome place to level but probably in your early-mid 50s.
I'm not sure how much exp you'll get in Newton at that level... but that place is dangerous. The camp is near a zone line, but it's on this tiny wooden platform crawling with moblins and bugbears which you have to sneak past everytime you want to kill one of the pets.

Edit: Also, if your friend is going to use somepage.com to find pets, I would advise to stay clear of DRGs and bst/smn mobs which detect by sound (such as fomors).

No, the Gob beastmaster is rather easy to get too. What ppl do is cast invisible, go near the bat, then cast AM1. If you are on the left side of the path, nothing can detect you. The only way to be detected, is if the Gob bst sees you when you cast the spell, in which case every thing links, but you should make it to the zone np.

Also there are other camps in Newton past 68, the deeper the zone, the harder the bats are. There is one at the G8 zone, and one at J8. You can get there solo if you use the gob to warp you in the ENM zone, then exit in newton. You might need firesand to turn the doors though.
