And you are helping others while doing so.
Bigboy said:In this case, the excuse of the lower level person not having experience with NM hunting is void. Before taking a person out on a hunt for the first time, there should always be some form of breifing, not just to set boundries, but also as a means of gauging their responce to determine wether or not you believe they are mentally ready for the hunt, and finally for their own safety.
Veresko said:I think everyone reading this appreciated the apology that Steerpike did, wish more people would do that. But saying it was a result of a lack of experience in NM hunting? But saying her lack of knowledge about NM hunting justifies, in a way, the action, to me that just does not hold the road.
I'm no big NM hunter myself, hell I have'nt even reached 50 yet on one job (keep switching damn it!) but I DO know about NM and HNM hunting ethics (or sometime lack of), I know about the big name hunters, I know about LS that specializes in it, etc. All of this from reading boards and talking with other players in-game. I would think that someone who is around or over level 50 would have access to the same information, especially if you are part of a LS like BoL.
I'm not saying we should keep giving Steerpikes a hard time, she DID apologies, but please don't put her action on the account of "she did not know".

lol, and how did I do that?
Seriously.
Of course Bigboy, this is your opinion, so I can't say anything about that.

Lol the whole day? Are you fuckin for reals? No one is paying to play this game to receive punishment. This is a GAME, STOP TAKING IT SO SERIOUSLY, FUCK...(thats MY opinion, I'm not trying to flame you Bigboy)... if someone i met/know needs a skull, ya I'd be right there to help them. Everyone that knows me knows that I help when I can, even if i'm too low myself.

I do agree with you here, but you're making it sound like they are about to be shipped out to Iraq. It's a game damnit.![]()
BUT once again you are falling into the elitist state of mind where everything has to be done your way. Obviously not everyone reads the forums, people have different goals while playing games (i.e. some like to relax, others like to stress over everything about the game that has literally no meaning in life).
Anyways this should be my last post for the thread so in summary:
1. I believe stealing NM/HNM/ENMs are WRONG
2. I don't know why you're still attacking them after they've given a formal apology, but whatever (i guess flaming someone else makes you feel better or whatnot.)
3. Notice I didn't direct the flame at anyone, so don't even try twisting my words around, or i will pwn you with my tarutaru dance
4. Learn to forget and forgive. If the same people keep doing it repeatedly then ya, they're assholes, but until then, stop stereotyping, labelling, making conclusions about people YOU do not know and have NOT met.
That's all and thanks for your time.

Yoshindor said:Now okay Lets all say you see aquaris sitting in a hallway at 100 % HP yellow unclaimed and not a sole in sight. Are you going to claim him as fast as your macro can go, or are you going to shout and ask everyone in the fucking zone if it might possably have been theirs and they lost claim somehow, or assume someong fought it and wipped. Claim obviously especialy when thats what you came to the area to do! If someone, (not nameing names) were to say excuse me I was kiteing that and I lost claim and you stole it by mistake, can I please have my mob. Like an inteligent person, you think that person is going to give it up, if they have ethics yes. If not you can chock it up to errors of claim and miss understanding.
How ever claiming mobs you see someone fighting is diffrent that can not be deffended! and the LS polociy is " Do not spam voke Stun or any other method to get claim, nor MPK, get the ToD and move on to the next one"
Krisy said:Moch, the point is if a mob is already being killed and the person killing it doesn't die, don't you think its just inaetly wrong to steal it unless you feel like being an asshole? You don't need to know HNM ethics for this to be morally wrong.

I always figured this goes under the common sense category...
