Gobbie Bomb + Blue Mage = Fun.

Gobbie Bomb + Blue Mage + You crossed a BLU the wrong way and now he wants to kill you = PK.

Its just something that came to my mind a few nights ago.

As you know, there is always rants how finally MPK issues have been resolved. Sometimes other think otherwise when people find cracks or leaks in something.

SE has done a lot to avoid MPK issues amongst players.
However, just as a head up to the community on QCDN, be prepared if someone tries to PK you as BLU.

Gobby bombs are AoE type, right?
If you fight a gob, and they commit suicide they will throw a bomb that damages himself and the party.

People outside of a party also get affected if they are in radius of the explosion.

So all a BLU needs to do is Gobbie Bomb Spam near someone or their PT, and "tada" ~ labeled Player Killer.

Just wondering if anyone was concerned about this, or it has crossed their mind. :-)
 
Gobbie bomb will probably be AOE, chance of hitting yourself, mobs claimed to you and non-claimed mobs are hit only. Thats my 2 gil on that.
 
That doesnt make any sense though, if a player used an AoE like gob bomb then why would it damage other players unless you're in ballista?

One thing for sure...
There are bound to be people in-game out to cause trouble.
Expect future flames on the flame board about people and their evil BLUs.
 
Thats what is pretty unclear though.
Technically bombs from gobs affect all players unless SE is implementing something towards this.

But its too early to determine whether this is the case or not.

So a gob bomb from a gob won't hurt a link gob??

...name one mob in this game that does damage to any other mob, much less mobs of its own type.

And if it's possible to fumble the BLU bomb, it'll be self-only.

Yea, thats all...its not that complicated of a concept, there is no way in hell that SE would allow Blue Mage or any other job to do damage to other players outside of PvP
 
Probably the only way then to screw over a person is in an actual PT.
I guess thats where the PKing can happen but its probably too much trouble as is.

Besides who would want to take their own PT out just for one person they are fuming about?

Hmm..... Ok look, i dont know any other way to say it.

When a goblin uses a bomb, and he fumbles it, does it damage other MOBS?

Now, replace "goblin" with "blue mage" and "mobs" with "party members".
 
Yea thats true.
If SE allowed PvP out of Brenner or Ballista, in a way that is deemed against the rules of the game then that make them look like hypocrites. :-)
 
I guess I saw it from a BLU perspective, and not a Gobby perspective.

The problem with "OMG BLU CAN DROP BOMBS!!!!!!11" is that there are actually two Bomb Toss abilities. One being the normal, and other being the failure. So unless BLU learns both, they can't fail.

I don't get your meaning, explain.

In my experience, gob bombs are one move but with a chance of dropping, greatly increased if they get distracted. I have proven that you can intentionally block bombs in bibiki bay, if you don't believe me, ask Demonknightx, I've killed him at least 5 times like that.
 
Yeah kinda like gobs dont hit others of their kind(i.e. other gobs). I dont think players will hit other players.

But I cant wait to be dropping bombs in ballista/brenner.

Nope. two entirely different TP moves. You can tell because normal bomb toss has a short ready time, but the drop ones have a longer one.
