This is my personal "interest" list.

So far all I've bought:

Superbad(by far the most funny movie this year)
Pirates 3
Die Hard 1 + 2

Also interested in...
Die Hard 3 + 4
Blade Runner(definetly picking this up)
Ratatouille(I rented and loved this, going to buy this eventually when it's on sale.)
Cars(haven't actually seen but I hear it's good.)
Meet the Robinsons(same as above.)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Simpsons Movie(definetly buying this.)

I'm divided on the Harry Potter box set, I am not a huge fan of the first two and it's an expensive set. Might pick up 4 solo since it's my favorite book/movie.

This is a pretty good time to own a blu-ray player overall, a lot of great movies and they're pretty much all exclusive, except for Harry Potters and Blade runner.

Do yourself a favor fire and skip Die hard 2. TERRIBLE movie. And i am a die hard fan... lol. Most of those would be too much of a waste to me. I picked up Pirates3 and Live free die hard today. I will get superbad later in the week maybe.

I've seen them all. Die Hard 2 is the worst but I still kinda like it.

I mean come on...

"I've got enough friends!"

1 3 and 4 are pretty damn badass tho.

If you haven't seen Ratatouille... give it a chance, you might be surprised. I thought the concept was stupid but based on a lot of enthusiasm from people who say it, rented it. I had really forgotten kids movies could actually be good. It actually generated a huge personal interest in all the Disney and Pixar stuff I've been ignoring.

Die Hard 1 > 4 > 3 > 2. Two is the worst, but it's still good. I mean cmon, it's motherfucking John Mclain. I just got done watching #1 not 30 minutes ago, God I love that movie...so fucking epic. By far my favorite Christmas movie of all time, beats the living shit out of anything Tim Allen has ever done.

My opinion:

Superbad(by far the most funny movie this year) - haven't seen it
Pirates 3 - cool
Die Hard 1 + 2 - cool

Also interested in...
Die Hard 3 + 4 - cool
Blade Runner(definetly picking this up) - haven't seen it
Ratatouille(I rented and loved this, going to buy this eventually when it's on sale.) - gay
Cars(haven't actually seen but I hear it's good.) - gay
Meet the Robinsons(same as above.) - gay
Close Encounters of the Third Kind - cool
Simpsons Movie(definetly buying this.) - cool

In November I picked up:
Masters of Horror series (I'm a sucker for the genre)
Ratatouille
Cars
Pirates 3
Old Boy
Spiderman trilogy

I am keeping an eye on Superbad, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the Die Hard box set, and Harry Potter Box set but those can wait until I find them on sale. I also am looking for a cheap copy of Jin-Roh. The other future December release that has my interest is Pans Labyrinth. The maybes are The Simpsons Movie and Blade Runner.

I enjoyed it. I just wish Pixar would come up with a new overbearring plotline. Just about every movie they produce is about showing (the world/friends/family) that you can change what you are. Only one I can think of off the top of my head that doesn't follow that theme is The Incredibles(Which if you don't own on any format, you fail at having a movie library.)

They're all still great. You could just copy and paste the plot in to every other movie they make though.

that's how Disney works too, Skaw :P

Don't forget that they produce countless numbers of pointless sequels.

Example:

Little Mermaid 2 was horrible
Cinderella 2 was horrible
High School Musical 2 was freaking GOD AWFUL its sucks monkey ****! (Then again, High school Musical 1 was bad and cheesy anyways)

etc.

The only Disney sequels I actually enjoy were those of Toy Story. That was awesome.

Anyways, back on subject.

Simpsons movie is win =D
Die hard is always win.
Pirates is mega win

If and When I get a PS3 next year, I'm gonna get those plus 300, Troy, Beowulf (when its out), The Other Pirates of the Caribbean films, and the ORIGINAL 1980s Transformers film.

Hmmm, hopefully someday in the near future, most anime will switch to Blu Ray, you could probably put 2 or 3 seasons of anime on 1 disc and still have enough room for extras.

Its a shame Heroes is only on HD DVD atm. =/

Dragon's Lair came out this month (or last) and I heard that they restored it well.

and just for the fun of it...

yeah, Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp.

The first one just came out on Bluray and HDDVD.

I'd pick it up for nostalgia sake if you were old enough to remember it in the arcades. Can probably find it on regular DVD too.

Also, I will vouch for Ratatouille and Meet the Robinsons, they were both great.

Unfortunately I never played it in the arcades, but I know this game is a sort of classic. Hmm... Might pick it up when I get a PS3.
