Coming from you this is a copout. You clearly stated that this is a game dealing with real people and we all need to be stuck up and extra polite to be good players here.

I am aware that it is a game and that i shouldn't take it seriously and everything...but it still doesn't hurt to show a bit of respect to strangers on the game...you dont know them therefore why screw them over or be mean to them? i'm all for insulting people who have been assholes etc, but people having manners really wouldn't hurt.

Given that the people on the boards are the same people in the game that you say deserve some measure of respect and looking at about 95% of your posts, congrats hypocrite.
 
I was actually refering to the game not the flame board...if you are going to post on the flame board then you should really do so expecting to get flamed...

In game i think you should at least show basic manners...i mean people get helped for hours then run off without even a "thank you"...wtf is that about? it is a game and you should not let it affect you but that is still no excuse for not even showing people common courtesy; and chances are that if you do it in game then you probably do in Rl too.

Careface I have to agree with the point that Raesvelg made. Not only was it well thought out, but it was also intelligent too. Regardless if you like him or not he still provides an excellent arguement. That I why I pointed out how my lack of caring what others have to think or say is due to not wanting to make the effort to actually care, rather then use the old tired excuse of "it's just a game".

If one of these people who say it is just a game happen to have something bad happen to them, they would and have been extreemly upset over it. When they have felt they didn't get what they deserved or were shafted in some way, all of a sudden they care?

It just totally makes that excuse lame and invalid. Maybe they should say what they actually mean, which is it is just a game until it personally effects me in some way.
